The SLBS Awards Gala & Hogapalooza is about more than great barbecue, recognizing our competitors, and celebrating another year of BBQ tradition. It’s also an opportunity to give back to the community we call home.

As part of our annual tradition, we’ll once again be hosting our Toy Drive at this year’s gala!

We’re asking everyone attending to bring a new, unwrapped toy to help us continue our community outreach and make a difference for families in need this holiday season.

It’s a small gesture that can make a big impact, and it’s one more way we show that WE ARE SLBS.

🔥 THE COMPETITION SEASON MAY BE OVER, BUT THERE’S STILL PLENTY OF SMOKE LEFT! 🔥

Just because the Team of the Year points have been tallied doesn’t mean we’re done getting together, firing up the smokers, and supporting a great cause!

Join us Saturday, November 7th at Clancy’s Irish Pub in Ellisville for West County Smokin’ for Veterans BBQ Competition!

Whether you’re competing, helping out, or just looking for a good reason to get out and enjoy some great BBQ with great people, there’s a place for you.

Cooking for a Cause: Thanksgiving at The Brass Rail
🦃🚂

Once again, the St. Louis BBQ Society is proud to support The Brass Rail Restaurant in O'Fallon, Missouri, as they serve free meals to those in need.

The Brass Rail has been providing these complimentary Thanksgiving meals for over a decade, and their reach grows each year—now serving thousands. Those in need can sign up online for delivery, carryout, or dine-in service on Thanksgiving Day. Meal preparation begins the Sunday before Thanksgiving and continues throughout the week.

BBQ teams will gather in the Brass Rail parking lot to smoke turkeys, while judges and SLBS members carve and portion over 100 turkey breasts. Our efforts allow the kitchen staff of The Brass Rail to devote their attention to creating side dishes and managing event logistics for this large-scale undertaking.

Keep an eye out for updates!

Every Thanksgiving, The Brass Rail sets a table that stretches far beyond our restaurant walls. This year, we're making room for even more kindness, more neighbors and more reasons to be thankful. It takes months of planning, organizing, ordering, stocking and more planning. And, we just wouldn't have it any other way.

In just five days, on November 1st, we will publish ALL of the details of our TBR Thanksgiving right here on Facebook and links will go live for folks to sign up for a FREE MEAL on Thanksgiving Day. We will need more help than ever this year as we continue in our quest to feed thousands of St. Charles friends + family in need.

The 3rd Annual Gateway to the Ozarks BBQ Cook-Off capped off an incredible year. The team potluck was a highlight, with breakfast burritos, brisket burgers, banana pudding, sliced sausage, wings, jalapeño-topped deviled eggs, and a Poor Man's Payday cheesecake all getting rave reviews.
