Make-A-Wish Missouri & Kansas Together, we create life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. In 1980, his Phoenix community came together to make his wish come true.

The Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Missouri & Kansas is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that was founded in Missouri in 1983. Make-A-Wish® Missouri & Kansas serves every community throughout Missouri and Kansas. Since 1983, we have granted over 10,350 wishes to children with critical illnesses. Make-A-Wish traces its inspiration to Christopher James Greicius, an energetic 7-year-old boy battling l

eukemia who wishes to be a police officer. Little did Chris know that his wish would create a movement that would transform millions of lives. Today, Make-A-Wish has granted hundreds of thousands of life-changing wishes to children battling critical illnesses. When Ella was just 18 years old, she received a life-saving heart transplant after years of battling a serious heart condition. Through Make-A-Wish, Ella's wish to write and publish a book about her journey became a reality.

Today, her book, Ella's New Beat, is inspiring children and families facing medical challenges with a message of hope, resilience, and healing. 💙

Now 21, Ella is pursuing a career as a child life specialist, determined to support children navigating journeys similar to her own.

Today, 9-year-old Harper from Blue Springs, Missouri joined the incredible women behind Kansas City Royals Wives for a special scavenger hunt around Kauffman Stadium.

Today was a day filled with tail wags, happy tears, and one unforgettable surprise.

After bravely battling lymphoma, 11-year-old Joslyn's wish to have a toy poodle puppy of her very own came true!

Joslyn loves tater tots, pizza, cheddar Goldfish, chocolate, and math - but today, nothing compared to the joy of meeting her newest best friend... who she so perfectly named "Tater Tot".

The moment she walked through the door and saw her puppy was filled with pure excitement, laughter, and love. It was a reminder of the incredible impact a wish can have on a child and family during difficult times.

Joslyn, we can't wait to watch you and your new furry friend make memories together. 🥰

This adorable little pup is getting ready for a very important job today... bringing joy to an incredible 11-year-old girl named Joslyn.

Everyone, meet Tater Tot. 💙

When 11-year-old Joslyn met with her Make-A-Wish volunteers, she shared her one-true wish: to have a toy poodle puppy of her very own. 🥰

When asked what she would name her new puppy, she said... Tater Tot.

Today, that wish is coming true. 🐾

In just a few moments, Joslyn will arrive at our office and meet the newest member of her family. We are counting down the minutes until she sees this sweet face for the very first time. 🐾
