Every day, companies show you that they do not care and view you as replaceable. Do you feel you deserve minimum wage? Is your job truly just a "starting position?" If so, then what's your trajectory out of it?
Working "at-will" is simply working at the mercy of whatever boss you have that day. The only way to have a voice and get answers is by sitting across the bargaining table and getting everything in writing. Your contract is only a few votes away. Shout out📣 to our Proper Cannabis Organizing Lead Katie Hazelwonder for being the first person at Proper to completely fill out and hear all the union busting talking points on our bingo card!
For her hard work, perseverance, tenacity, and her having to listen to all of those points, she won our first Union For Cannabis Workers t-shirt!
Knowledge is power and knowing your rights makes organizing so much less scary. Great job Katie!

Big Announcement! 😎✊️📣

As of today, the Post-Harvest Department at Proper Cannabis Processor in Rock Hill have filed a petition for unionization and have demanded voluntary recognition from their employer!

If the company refuses the wishes of their employees, then the Post-Harvest department plans on WINNING their union in an old-fashioned election.

Thanks for Rolling with UFCW Local 655! We are proud to see the harworking people in Missouri's wildly successful cannabis industry coming together for a fair share of the gigantic pie they produce day in and day out! With the Union For Cannabis Workers, Together We Rise HIGHER!

The National Labor Relations Board rejected BeLeaf Medical’s claim that Sinse employees were agricultural workers exempt from federal union protections.

Thats right! Sinse Cannabis Workers in the Post-Harvest, Lab, Kitchen, and Order fulfillment departments have won their union election 11-3!
The majority of workers demanded recognition on September 15, 2023. We held a hearing that October and ran an election February 6, 2024. After well over two years the workers at BeLeaf Sinse Cherokee are closer to having THEIR union.
It's a MATCH made in heaven and with the Sinse employees JOINT effort we have the FIRST cannabis processor in ALL of Missouri to be represented by a labor union. LIGHT the way for the Union For Cannabis Workers, because more and more people are ROLLING WITH UFCW 655!✊️📣💨

Day or night, when it comes to your rights, the Union For Cannabis Workers is here for the fight! ✊️📣
Cannabis workers across the state have been scared and threatened by their employers that they didn't have the right to a union in their workplaces. After two years, we've proven that post-harvest workers in trim rooms and packaging plants have just as much right to unionize as their peers in processing.
Now come November, Cannabis workers in cultivation departments and any place in Cannabis will have their right to unionize!

Your Missouri Union For Cannabis Workers has had another huge victory setting a standard that cannabis processing workers from order fulfillment to culinary to laboratory to post-harvest have the right organize a union in their workplaces!

The NLRB ruled that BeLeaf Medical's post-harvest cannabis workers are statutory employees, not exempt agricultural laborers, clearing the way for unionization under federal law.
