AND THE BLUE RIBBON GOES TO… CURIOUS ELIXIRS! 🥂

We're thrilled to welcome back as our Exclusive Non-Alcoholic Beverage Partner for Diamonds at the Derby!

Thanks to our generous Blue Ribbon Mocktail Sponsor, Valley Strong Credit Union, we're rolling out the red carpet for an incredible alcohol-free cocktail experience!

A guest favorite at our 2024 gala, Curious is back with three delicious, sophisticated creations:

🍷 Curious No. 1 – Pomegranate Negroni Sbagliato
🍍 Curious No. 2 – Spicy Pineapple Margarita
🥒 Curious No. 3 – Juniper Cucumber Collins

Because you don't need alcohol to celebrate in style! Whether you're skipping the spirits or simply curious (see what we did there?), we've got something fabulous waiting for you at the bar.

A huge thank you to Curious Elixirs for generously providing our featured mocktails and sponsoring this special experience!

Two amazing partners helping us raise a glass AND raise funds for MARE! 💎🐎

💙 PROGRAM HIGHLIGHT: Hippotherapy

Sitting up independently. Growing stronger. Discovering new possibilities.

At M.A.R.E., these milestones mean so much to the families we serve. Through hippotherapy, licensed therapists incorporate the movement of a horse to support each participant’s therapy goals, with moments of joy along the way. 🐴

Your support helps make these moments possible. Thank you for being part of their journey!

Meet the Herd: Reina

Born as a surprise at a rescue, this beautiful 14-year-old Appaloosa/Shire cross grew up to become a talented vaulting horse, beginning her training with the award-winning OC Vaulters.

Since joining MARE in 2018, Reina has brought her talents to every program we offer, from vaulting and therapeutic riding to working with veterans.

At 16.2 hands, she has a big personality, loves being groomed, and has just enough stubbornness to remind us who’s really in charge! She’s even done a little modeling, but helping our participants shine is her most meaningful role. 🦄✨

Sponsor Spotlight 💚
Some of the things that keep MARE running every day aren’t exactly glamorous…but they’re definitely important! 😂

We’re excited to welcome Today Site Services as one of our newer community partners!

Today Site Services has generously stepped up to provide 100% of MARE’s regular portable restroom services at no cost to us. That kind of ongoing in-kind support makes a real difference for a nonprofit like MARE, helping us keep more of our resources focused on our horses and the children, adults, and veterans we serve.

And we have to give them credit for possibly the most memorable phone number ever:

📞 833-PEE-POOP 😂💩

Thank you, Today Site Services, for joining the MARE family and finding a very practical—and very appreciated—way to support our mission!

We’re so grateful to have you in our corner. ❤️

🐴🎀 Happy Dolly Day from MARE Riding Center!💕📚

Today, we’re celebrating Dolly Parton and her commitment to helping children discover the joy of reading through Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library.

At MARE, we believe books can open doors to new worlds, and sometimes a horse can help open the book. 💕

Our services include Horse Powered Reading, a program that combines the motivation and connection of horses with literacy activities to help children build confidence, strengthen reading skills, and discover that learning can be fun.

Just like Dolly’s Imagination Library puts books into the hands of children, Horse Powered Reading brings books into the arena, creating opportunities for children to read, learn, connect, and grow alongside their equine partners.

Because whether you're “9 to 5” working on a new skill, finding your own “Coat of Many Colors” of confidence, or dreaming about “Islands in the Stream,” every child deserves the chance to imagine what’s possible. 📖🐴✨

We’re proud to celebrate Dolly today and the powerful idea that a good book, a little imagination, and the right horse can make a world of difference.
