Memorial Scholarships and Sponsorships
Did you know you can sponsor a BJW scholarship in honor or memory of a loved one? Or you can sponsor a special clinic/concert by a nationally- or internationally-known jazz artist! Many of the named scholarships awarded each year are sponsored by family or friends of the person being honored. If you would like more information on this, please speak with a Board member at the Workshop or visit at our website...

Please support BJW with a tax-deductible donation!
Bakersfield Jazz Workshop, a registered 501(c)(3) educational non-profit organization, has provided the Bakersfield community with educational scholarships, exciting concerts, and training opportunities for aspiring jazz musicians every week for over 20 years, all at no charge to our audience or the musicians who participate. Our funding comes primarily from charitable donations by people just like you. In recent months, we have seen a shortfall in our donations, such that we are paying out slightly more each week than we are raising. You can help us continue our work by placing a donation each week in the “tip jar” that we pass around. If it’s more convenient, you can setup a recurring weekly or monthly contribution through PayPal here...

We hope the Jazz Workshop is valuable to you and that you will help us continue this great community service by generously donating as much as you can.
