Today we hosted 26 nonprofit partners for Storytelling for Impact: Part 1 - Learning with Marya Sherron. Attendees learned about effective and ethical storytelling for our organizations.

We are proud to partner with Junior Achievement of Central Indiana through a $7,500 Stronger Together Grant.

What stands out most about the work Junior Achievement does is how deeply they care about preparing local kids for real life. Through their programming, students step into a simulated community ("BizTown") where they take on jobs, manage an income, pay bills, and navigate the daily financial decisions that keep a town running. It gives them a front-row seat to what it means to make economic choices and contribute to a local economy.

We are grateful to support Junior Achievement as they help prepare our Hendricks County students toward bright, confident futures!

This afternoon, we had an out-of-this-world experience inside the inflatable planetarium at the Danville-Center Township Public Library!

This special event was made possible by HCCF’s first Moonshot Microgrant awarded to the Danville Library Foundation for Space Week. To celebrate, we brought together a great group of donors, staff and nonprofit partners from our Moonshot Launch and Lunch to enjoy an amazing show in the space dome!

At HCCF, we truly value our local libraries. They are community hubs that inspire curiosity and lifelong learning, for young and old alike. Supporting innovative programs like Space Week helps ensure our libraries remain places where imaginations can truly soar.

HCCF recently awarded a $25,000 Stronger Together grant to Cummins Behavioral Health Systems, Inc. to support its Mobile Crisis Team.

When someone faces a mental health crisis, immediate help directly where they are makes all the difference. The Mobile Crisis Team provides urgent care to keep people safe and calm without unnecessary hospital visits. Beyond crisis care, Cummins Behavioral Health System helps local families every day with therapy, addiction recovery, and ongoing support.

Thank you to the team at Cummins Behavioral Health System for their vital work, and to our donors for making community grants like this possible.

HCCF proudly supports the work of Sheltering Wings, our local shelter that provides life-saving refuge and comprehensive support services to individuals and families escaping domestic violence.

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and so we want to recognize the shelter’s continuous effort to empower survivors, heal broken lives, and offer a safe haven 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Thank you Sheltering Wings for your compassion and commitment to building a safer community for us all.

Congratulations to our friends at Jameson Camp!

550 campers visited Camp over the summer. Did you know 3 of the top 5 communities Jameson Camp serves are from Hendricks County ZIP codes?

Thanks to our donors, we awarded a $5,000 Stronger Together grant to remove the cost barrier to participation for Hendricks County families.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Indiana Youth Institute (IYI) has awarded Jameson Camp a grant totaling $487,500. The funding will help Jameson Camp strengthen programs serving young people in central Indiana and build the organizational capacity needed to deepen its impact over the next several years.
IYI made the grants in connection with Strengthening Youth Programs in Indiana (SYPI), an initiative Lilly Endowment Inc. launched in 2023. The initiative seeks to help youth-serving organizations working throughout the state improve their abilities to promote the academic, physical, and social well-being of young people, ages five through 18.
With this support, Jameson Camp will expand capacity by supporting our year-round staff, continuing year-round and summer camp support, investing in staff training, and building awareness in the community. The work is expected to help underserved youth in the community by providing accessible, impactful, outdoor experiences.
“We are grateful for this investment in Jameson Camp and in the young people we serve,” said David Ramsey, Executive Director of Jameson Camp. “This grant will allow us to strengthen our year-round environmental education and summer camp programs, our team, and our partnerships that help youth thrive.”
Jameson Camp is one of 168 youth-serving organizations awarded SYPI grants totaling more than $40 million.

HCCF is proud to award a $2,390 Stronger Together Grant to the Indiana Center for Employee Ownership (INCEO). This funding will support upcoming lunch-and-learn programs designed to educate local leaders, business owners, and workers on the benefits of employee ownership.

When workers have a stake in the business they help build, everyone wins - jobs stay right here in our county and our whole community gets stronger. We love seeing local companies thrive while taking care of the people who make them run.

We are excited to partner with INCEO as they work to strengthen our local economy and build a stronger future for Hendricks County!
