Happy Juneteenth! Today we commemorate Freedom Day, marking the historic moment in 1865 when news of emancipation finally reached all enslaved people in the United States.

Juneteenth is a powerful reminder of resilience, a celebration of Black culture and history, and a call to continue the vital work of building a just, equitable, and inclusive community for all.

We are officially kicking off our Fundraising for Small Nonprofits program at MADE at Plainfield today!

It is inspiring to be in a room full of people who are dedicated to making our community a better place. But finding the funding to keep things growing can be a challenge for many of our local nonprofits.

Today and tomorrow, we are working together to share effective, practical ways to bring in more support without burning out.

Grateful for our awesome nonprofit professionals who showed up today to learn and grow together!

If you're hitting the trails at W.S. Gibbs Memorial Park for this week's Parks Foundation of Hendricks County Summer Fun Run & Walk, you'll be stepping right onto a project HCCF proudly supported!

This week’s route guides participants along the Bicentennial Trail—and HCCF is deeply honored to be a sponsor of the brand-new Bicentennial Tree Trail project.

Designed in the shape of “200,” the trail is surrounded by nearly 100 native tree species, creating a unique and meaningful way to honor Hendricks County’s bicentennial.

Enjoy the trails this week, and keep an eye out for this great new addition to the park!

🏃🏿‍♀️ Week 3 is here!

The Summer Fun Run & Walk Series presented by Hendricks Regional Health heads to W.S. Gibbs Memorial Park for a 2.64-mile route that loops through one of more natural, rugged park settings in Hendricks County 🌿

Starting near the pond, this week’s course follows Turtle Crawl and Monarch Way, and then the Bicentennial Trail guiding you along a scenic loop around the perimeter of the park.

📅 June 10 – 15
📍W.S. Gibbs Memorial Park: 4521 Gibbs Road, Avon 46122
🕓 In-person meetup: Wednesday from 4:30–6:30 PM

Follow the SFR signs with directional arrows along the way, or complete the course anytime during the week that works best for you.

Note: Some sections of this course include more rugged terrain and may not be ideal for strollers. If you need a mobility wheelchair to access the course, you can reserve one for free by contacting Hendricks County Parks and Recreation.

Register today and join us all summer. 💚

We are proud to partner with Brooke's Place! We recently awarded a $5,000 grant to support their Ongoing Grief Support Group in Hendricks County, but to keep this vital program running, they urgently need more volunteers.

You don’t need to be a counselor or an expert to make a life-changing impact; you just need a caring heart.

Watch this short video to experience a program night through a volunteer’s eyes, and consider stepping up for local kids and families navigating loss at Brooke's Place.

You don't have to be a counselor. You just have to care. At Brooke'...
