What a fabulous night celebrating the opening of “Flaunt: When Appearance Speaks” (and the debut of Beverly’s!) at the American Visionary Art Museum! ✨ Big thanks to everyone at American Visionary Art Museum who made this possible, especially the curatorial dream team of Gage Branda, Jennifer Lauren Gallery, and Cléa Massiani! Congrats to Montrel Beverly and all the featured artists on this incredible accomplishment! 👏 If you missed the opening, the exhibition will be on view through September 2027.

Join us on Saturday, November 7th from 6–9pm for a party at Pee-wee’s playhouse! 🎊 Be the first to see and shop our latest immersive group show, TAKE A PICTURE, IT’LL LAST LONGER, inspired by Paul Reubens’ color-drenched wonderland.

We’ve teamed up with some of our favorite local vendors to create an unforgettable night of whimsy. A mimosa and Bloody Mary bar will pair perfectly with breakfast for dinner whipped up by our pals at Lynny’s 🍳 Sip and snack while DJ John Gross 🆒 spins Playhouse-inspired vinyl. Ticket holders also have the opportunity to bring a cotton item (think bandana or patch) to have stitched with a custom Pee-wee flash courtesy of FT. LONESOME. Guests will also take home a souvenir glass with artwork by Studio Artist Henry McDonald. You won’t want to forget this night and thanks to the evening’s photo booth, you never will!

This week, we are SO excited to head to Baltimore with Montrel Beverly to celebrate his inclusion in “Flaunt: When Appearance Speaks” at American Visionary Art Museum! The exhibition explores fashion as armature, expression, and wearable creativity. Montrel has created a fictional department store, Beverly’s, featuring pipe cleaner reinterpretations of high-end items like Birkin bags and red-bottom shoes. These status symbols take on new meaning when molded by Montrel’s hands in his signature medium. You can purchase tickets for the Exhibition Preview Party and meet the man behind Beverly’s on Friday, October 9th, or catch the show through September 5th, 2027! 👜
