Glenn has been a valued part of the Mary Lee Foundation family for 15 years, and in that time, he’s become known for his quiet nature, strong work ethic, and ability to learn quickly. While he may be soft-spoken, Glenn’s presence speaks volumes through his dedication and kindness.
When asked what he enjoys most at the Mary Lee Foundation, Glenn shared that he loves spending time with his friends because “we always have fun together.” Those friendships are a big part of what makes his experience so meaningful.
One staff member who has made a meaningful impact on Glenn is Tameka Stidom, who leads the Day Break program. Glenn shares that she is “really nice and listens to us” and always brings “good vibes.” Supportive staff like Tameka help create an environment where clients feel truly heard and valued.
Glenn loves it when our community puts on the Fall Festival each year. He feels it’s a time filled with friends, family, and joyful moments shared together. Experiences like these highlight the strong sense of community at Mary Lee.
Glenn is currently working on building his coping skills and continues to grow in meaningful ways. Looking ahead, one of his goals is to work more with Billo’s Dog Treats, a hands-on program where clients help create all-natural dog treats while gaining job skills, building confidence, and contributing to the community. It’s something he’s truly motivated and excited to pursue.
He also hopes people understand that individuals with disabilities have so much to offer, sharing, “They can learn about us if they really want to know more.” It’s a simple but powerful reminder of the importance of connection and understanding.
Outside of the Mary Lee Foundation, Glenn expresses his creativity as an artist. He loves to paint, watch movies, and spend time at church, activities that reflect his thoughtful and creative spirit. We’re grateful for Glenn and the steady, positive energy he brings to our community each day!
