This year’s ConnectHER Film Festival was presented by Eloise, and we couldn’t more proud! Young filmmakers from around the world submitted films centering the stories of women and girls that moved through judging and finalist rounds to get to this screening and awards show in Austin, Texas. With awards totaling $32,500 to filmmakers, and additional $7500 granted to organizations in the Global Impact category sponsored by our foundation, this Film Festival invests in stories and storytellers who make impact in their communities.

Is there a better event theme than Brunch 🥞Around the World 🌏? Loved partnering with on their spring fundraiser — they produce possibilities for refugees through food and fiber. You can support them by signing up for their CSA 🥬🥒🥕, shopping their products or volunteering at their farm! 🚜

It was so great for our foundation to come together with and so many others to support and their efforts to raise funds to support kids in health and education initiatives. The JPMS team did an amazing job, show was beautiful and, most importantly, there was impact made in the lives of kids. 🖤

Earth 🌍 Day was a great day to be out with cleaning up parks. Their workforce program employs vulnerable/unhoused folks and the partner with COA Watershed & Resource Recovery to keep things clean! Today we cleared a 🛞 and even found an Easter egg 🐣 with $2! 💵

Thanks to all those who work every day to steward our earth and preserve 🌱🌱🌱 nature.

GETMAD A Day To Shine for GETMAD helping Austin’s homeless hosted a beautiful event last weekend that featured a fashion show, an auction and the Lifestyle Award presented to John Paul and Eloise. The Award was extra special because of our long history with MLF_ATX and the fact that we have seen Community First! Village grow from a big wooded lot to the vibrant community it is today.

The best part is that the evening raised over $1 million to continue the good work of MLF! Thank you so much to all the moms and daughters that worked so hard to make this night a success, to the generous donors, and to the MLF Team and Community for being one of the best parts of Austin!

This event John Paul and his pal Gary put together is in its 24th year — riding 🏍️ and giving back to The 100 Club of Central Texas. Did you know that in Austin you can call 988 instead of 911 for a mental health crisis? On the other side of the line will be someone trained to deescalate and care for those in need. We are so lucky provides with service for the City of Austin. They also house 482 folks in permanent supportive housing, ensuring even if people don’t have an income that they can find safety. We first partnered with them to fund a mobile medical van to coordinate services with homeless service providers and there is more in the way! A big thanks to for hosting a night for this and so many doing good in our community. Do good, eat good!
