"This season of my life has been about looking at the bigger picture, believing in what’s possible, and creating a life my daughter and I can be proud of.

After a lot of reflection and career counseling, I found myself revisiting a dream I had once set aside: building a career in the dental field. With the support of Capital IDEA, I now have the opportunity to pursue dental hygiene at Austin Community College (ACC)—a career path that will allow me to serve others, create long-term financial stability, and still have the time and flexibility to be present for the moments that matter most.

I’m incredibly honored and grateful for this opportunity. Capital IDEA isn’t just investing in my education and career—they’re helping me build a brighter, more secure future for my daughter and me.

Welcome to a new semester, Capital IDEA students! 💙
Last week, we kicked off the semester with our On Ramp event, where we welcomed students who are starting programs in healthcare, IT, and other high-demand fields at Austin Community College District and Temple College Official Page.

Thank you to our amazing Programs team for creating a great experience for our students, and a special thank you to our employer partners and sponsors, Ascension Seton and St. David's HealthCare, for providing breakfast, lunch, and prizes.

Please help us welcome Chantier to Capital IDEA! 🎉 As she begins her journey toward a career in Health Information Technology at ACC, we're excited to celebrate this exciting milestone. In her own words:

"My name is Chantier' Johnson and I am an avid volunteer, mother of three beautiful boys, and a scholar. I first began my college experience at Agnes Scott College in Decatur, GA, as a first-generation college student. I had to drop out to pursue AmeriCorps in 2013 due to not being financially able to afford the tuition. I’ve found myself yearning for a degree and career path that feels meaningful, stable, and rewarding. I am pursuing Healthcare Information Technology because I desire to provide sincere customer service and knowledge to those in the healthcare field. I am looking forward to finally finishing my degree after nearly 13 years."

We're honored to be part of your journey and can't wait to see all that you accomplish. Here's to new opportunities, big goals, and a bright future ahead! 💙✨
