Juego de Batú - Taino Ballgame!
Batú is an ancient ceremonial ball game played by our Taino ancestors -- and still played today!
Dating back 1000 years, it served as a sacred ritual, social gathering, and community sport. Could be played by both men and women (separate or mixed teams). It was also used for non-violent conflict resolution -- to settle tribal disputes, resolve boundary conflicts and disagreements without resorting to warfare.
