We’re supporting Props A & B to invest in Austin’s parks, pools, trails and libraries!

Prop A would fund much-needed improvements to parks, pools and trails, and Prop B would support improvements to Austin’s public libraries, including a new library in East Austin.

The RGK Ranch and Reimers Ranch vision planning survey is now open!!

Travis County Parks is developing vision plans for both parks, and we want to hear from you! Take the survey to share your ideas and help guide the future of RGK Ranch and Reimers Ranch.

Come discover the magic of monarchs and pollinators at Richard Moya Park!! 🦋🐝🌱

Travis County Parks Foundation is partnering with Texas Master Naturalist Program for Magical Monarchs on Sunday, Oct. 18, as part of the City of Austin’s Roots & Wings Festival.

📍 Richard Moya Park�Sunday, Oct. 18�11 a.m.–1 p.m.�🌱 Open and free to all ages

Bring a water bottle and sun protection, and come spend a morning learning about and caring for our parks!

What a week under the stars!! ✨

Our Night Sky Program had a busy week with two events celebrating our night sky!

At Hot Science Cool Talks at UT Austin, we were part of the “Cool Activities”before Timothy Goudge’s talk on ancient rivers, catastrophic floods, and the massive drainage systems on Mars.

Then, we headed to Richard Moya Park for International Observe the Moon Night! We welcomed more than 230 people to explore the night sky, learn about the Moon and get a closer look through our telescopes. 🌙

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make these events so special! We love seeing our community come together to look up learn about the night sky ✨

Help shape the future of two Travis County parks! ☀️

Travis County is developing vision plans for Reimers Ranch Park and its newest park, RGK Ranch Park, which is not yet open to the public, and we want to hear what you think.

We encourage you to:

- Attend the open house on Wednesday, October 7, from 5-7:30 PM at Lake Travis Middle School
- Take the online survey will open October 7 through November 4

Meet our newest Travis County Parks Foundation Board Member, Jeff Nagy!

A Central Texas resident for more than 25 years, Jeff has spent plenty of time enjoying our parks, from rock climbing at Reimers Ranch to mountain biking and camping at Pace Bend Park.

As a professional engineer with Halff, Jeff brings regional experience and a passion for the outdoors to the Foundation. We’re excited to welcome him to the board and look forward to working together to help protect and preserve access to our parks.

Look up, Travis County! International Observe the Moon Night is coming to Richard Moya Park! 🌕

Join us Saturday, September 19, from 7:30–10 p.m. for a free and family-friendly night under the stars hosted by TCPF, Travis County Parks Del Valle Community Coalition and 4-H CAPITAL

- View the Moon, Venus & Saturn through telescopes - Make your own Moon crater - Take home Moon-like rock samples - Get creative with the Moon
- Walk through a scale model of our solar system - Enter for a chance to take home a Planet Earth and Moon in Orbit LEGO set!

Bring a camp chair or blanket and a water bottle, and get ready to explore the night sky. A red-light flashlight is recommended for preserving our natural night vision (and we’ll have some available to borrow).

Labor Day weekend is one of the busiest times of year for our parks, and we’re looking for volunteers to help give Bob Wentz Park some extra care afterward! 🚮

Join us Friday, September 11, as we clear debris along the shoreline and throughout the park.

All ages are welcome, and cleanup supplies, water, electrolytes, and a light breakfast will be provided!
