Hey, NDKFam! We’re back with some parking updates for you all.

The Ga***rd is opening up not one, but two dirt parking lots for use. One lot to the East and one to the South. There is, unfortunately, a cost to park in these lots- $22.75/day. While we aren’t fans of the cost to park in these lots and have no control over that, we are grateful for the extra space as it doubles the amount of available parking for the weekend.

Additionally, we have partnered with a local community non-profit, Bus To Show! Bus to Show is joining us on Saturday to add extra transportation to and from the 61st and Pena Lightrail Station! This means that there will now be 3 shuttles on Saturday to help get traffic moving to and from The Ga***rd! There is no cost to ride the Bus the Show bus- but there is an $8/day cost to park at the Lightrail lot.

We want to thank you all for being so patient as we sort this out and came up with the creative solutions we need to support NDK attendees best on such short notice! This is something we are dedicated to improving in the future and we think this is a step in the right direction!

✨ So, what is the Cosplay Exhibition Room? ✨

Well! It’s a BIG room dedicated to celebrating everything cosplay—and this year, we’re bringing it to life with three awesome sponsors and so many incredible supporters! 💜

📚 First up: The Cosplay Library!
A whole collection of books, guides, and how-tos dedicated to the art of cosplay! Whether you’re a seasoned cosplayer or just getting started, there’s something here for you to explore.

The library is sponsored and supplied by Cosplay America, NDK staff, and our amazing Cosplay Guests!

🛠️ Second: Workshops!
Get ready for a weekend packed with impactful, hands-on workshops covering skills like leatherworking, chainmail, and 3D printing!

This year, NDK’s theme is TRAVEL, and that means there’s a special passport activity waiting for you! 🌎✈️

Scattered throughout the convention will be stamp stations where you can collect stamps in your NDK passport! Each station represents a place in Colorado and a place in Japan.

🛂 You can purchase a passport for just $5 with all 18 stations, OR use the designated page in your convention program for FREE with 6 stations!

And of course, the Cosplay Department’s stamp station will be inside the Cosplay Exhibition Room! 🎉

So make sure you stop by, check out all the amazing cosplay displays, participate in a workshop, stamp your passport, and maybe even learn a new trick or two to take home for your own cosplay projects!

In 2026, you are going to see a complete NDK Museum makeover!

We spent this year gathering memories, mementos and extraordinary pieces of our history to bring you a more in depth NDK experience. Located right across from the coffee shop when you enter the con floor, our museum is going to be full of the joy, history and community that has made NDK.

This museum will feature staff testimonials, cryptid dossiers, fun facts, pieces of our relationship with Japan, and obscure pieces of NDK lore.

We are so excited to introduce Chef Jo!

Japanese chef, Mr. Jo, serves as the exclusive chef for the Consulate-General of Japan in Denver. This year, he will be hosting a panel where he shares his insights into his work as an “Official Chef for Japanese Diplomatic Missions” as well as some special recipes!

He will also introduce Japanese popular dishes that can also be recreated at home using ingredients available at your local supermarket!
