Hope Ignites Colorado Scholars at Aurora Central Trojans recently represented the program at the Aurora Central High School Back-to-School Night. They gave interested Freshman and Sophomores information about the program and how to apply. Additionally, they were available to answer questions about their experiences as scholars!

Aurora Central Trojans Senior, Tishawn, recently shared about his Hope Ignites Colorado experience with younger Hope Ignites Colorado Scholars. He spoke about his college and career interests, and his experience with Hope Ignites Colorado and Network-Wide opportunities such as College Application Boot Camp, EnvisionU, and STEAM Business Camp. The scholars asked great questions on his experiences as he shared his insight and wisdom. Tishawn also touched on how he chose his top colleges, his career as an artist, his views on AI and art, what he’s learned so far about the college application process, and connecting with scholars from across the country.

One highlight was Tishawn telling scholars about the importance of having self-confidence, feeling like you belong when you walk into a room, and having a mindset of deserving every good thing coming your way.
