Meet Silencio 🤍
A 2-year-old deaf male Boston Terrier with the sweetest soul and the biggest heart.
Silencio is up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, and was recently neutered. While he’s healthy and safe now, his past has been difficult. He spent most of his life confined to a small pen with very little socialization or exposure to the world. After evaluation by a professional trainer, it’s believed Silencio was primarily used for breeding, which explains some of the behaviors he is now working through.
Despite his rough start, Silencio is making incredible progress. He is currently undergoing rehabilitation and learning:
🖐️ Basic sign language communication
🧸 How to play with toys
🐕 Proper socialization with people and dogs
🌎 Confidence through everyday life experiences
Silencio is curious, gentle, and eager to learn—he just needs someone patient and loving to continue showing him what a safe, happy life looks like.
We are looking for a foster home for the holidays or a future forever home where Silencio can continue to blossom at his own pace. Experience with special-needs dogs is a plus, but not required—education and support will be provided.

I've held off posting bc I'm at a loss for words. Chimney, a long time rescue has quickly declined to the point hes not his happy self and no treqent would help him. So we made the very difficult decision to help end his suffering tomorrow. We also decided to adopt him as a Graced Kennels Augusta Ga family and he has taken turns staying in a home since last Thurs.He has been a blessing to my life since the moment Kat and I were called in to see if we could take him in. Thank you to ever thay has been a part of his life and given him rhe love he always deserved. Thank you Chimney for choosing us as your family

Brass Knuckle Pin Ups Rescue (BKPUR) is a nonprofit 501c3/licensed animal rescue in Augusta (2015). We began after taking in a paralyzed pit bull Mi Amor or "Mia". She suffered spinal damage at the hands of her abuser at only 6 weeks old.

Our canine rescues are housed at Graced Kennels (GK) Boarding/Daycare Facility. Our President/founder - Cherish Danforth is owner, manager & canine trainer at the facility. We partner closely w/Hands to Paws Rescue President, Kat Ellis who has 10 rescues boarded at GK & also serves on board.

Tulgey Woods (TW) was created at GK to support the 20-25 rescues living at kennel. TW opened to public on November. 18th 2023. The woods have specific days/hours & are self-guided, w/option for a guided tour. Entry fees, as well as fees incurred through booking for Unbirthday Parties, Escape Room, Alice movie and Trivia Night, Tea Parties, etc. go to maintenance of woods & funding animal rescue needs.

BKPUR Founder/President Cherish Danforth has been challenged with sensory overload issues all her life and recently diagnosed with autism. A diagnosis that helped her to understand so many issues with which she struggled. Cherish has always had an affinity for people and animals with unique characteristics. BKPUR specializes in dogs from the often misunderstood and generally discriminated against bully breeds. Cherish works as a canine trainer to help pet owners and their dogs through fear, reactivity and aggression issues.

Tulgey Woods and the Sensory Garden provide an avenue for individuals with similar challenges, pet owners and their dogs with challenges while providing much needed financial support the rescue animals as well as an area of enrichment for the rescues at Graced Kennels.

It was a long tough decision for me to let Maxx be adopted. He.and Daisy belonged to my dad that passed away in 2021 after I gave my dad my word ti keep them together. 2.5 yrs later I decided my dad would feel differently if he saw how hard Maxx was taking the last 6 months not being in a home. I have trained and groomed him since he was 14 weeks old and I saw how he was falling apart, I couldn't let it happen. Now, I'm happy to say he was adopted by a very close friend of mine who knows the struggle and loves Maxx deeply. She even works with me at Graced Kennels Augusta Ga so Maxx still sees his sister ,Daisy, and me daily. He is already making starting to enjoy life again.
