Gluten Intolerance Group

Gluten Intolerance Group For 50 years, the Gluten Intolerance Group has been a leading resource for the gluten-free community.

The Gluten Intolerance Group (GIG) has been empowering the gluten-free community through consumer support, advocacy, and education for five decades. GIG’s outreach is not only to those with gluten-related disorders but to everyone who has made the decision to live gluten-free. With the continued recognition of gluten-free dietary needs and the recent emphasis on gluten-free products and offerings,

our role in the community is more important now than ever. From providing community support through our local Branches, to being a leader in food safety certification, GIG is a top non-profit organization for consumers worldwide. Look for our GFCO (Certified Gluten-Free "Circle GF") logo on your favorite gluten-free foods, and our GFFS stamp of approval at restaurants across the country. We also have local branches and Generation GF kids groups -- we have something for everyone!

For those who have been on the gluten-free journey for any amount of time, a pantry reset isn’t about throwing everything out. It’s about building a kitchen that works with you, especially after disrupted routines.

A pantry check-in might include:
• Grouping GFCO-certified gluten-free products together
• Keeping your “always safe” items at eye level
• Restocking trusted staples
• Letting go of foods that no longer serve your needs

Long-term gluten-free living is easier when safety is built in. https://gluten.org/2019/10/16/gluten-free-pantry-essentials/

Feeding a household gluten-free isn’t just about food.

It’s about:
• Planning ahead
• Reading labels, every time
• Managing cross-contact
• Advocating at schools, parties, and restaurants
• Carrying the mental load so someone else can be safe

Caregivers aren’t being “overprotective.”
They’re protecting health.
If this is you, you’re doing important work, even when no one sees it.

Tag a caregiver or share this to say “I see you.” 🤍
