After just one week at GHA, one of 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝘀 has already 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗴𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗱 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹: a clear sense of purpose, meaningful learning opportunities, and a strong foundation for growth.

At , our team practices simple habits each week—breathing, journaling, talking to friends and more. But there are so many other ways to care for yourself, like singing, tapping, or stepping outside for a few minutes of fresh air.

🎉 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗪𝗢𝗩𝗢𝗣 𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗻𝗯𝗼𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝗯𝗼𝗮𝗿𝗱!
A few years ago, we had the privilege of 𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 𝘧𝘪𝘳𝘴𝘵 𝘣𝘰𝘢𝘳𝘥 𝘮𝘦𝘮𝘣𝘦𝘳𝘴 — leaders who went on to accomplish so much for the organization and the community.

Today, we’re 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝘂𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗯𝘆 𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗻𝗲𝘄𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗯𝗼𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗻 board roles, good governance, and the tools they need to help strengthen WOVOP’s impact.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗸𝗲𝗲𝗽𝘀 𝗮 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗴𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗺𝘀 𝗱𝗼𝗻’𝘁 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗽? Our partners in Kenya are living through continued flooding, and they’re sharing what it feels like on the ground.

Daniel told us: “𝗥𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗻𝗼𝘄, 𝗶𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴, and we don't know what to expect. But 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘬𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘎𝘭𝘰𝘣𝘢𝘭 𝘏𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘵𝘩 𝘈𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯, we are much more confident because we are equipped with the instruments to support ourselves and our communities.”

Those 𝘁𝗼𝗼𝗹𝘀 𝗰𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗮 𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗹 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗼𝗳 trauma‑informed 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝗚𝗛𝗔 through the CRESTProgram, helping partners care for their communities — and themselves — during crisis.
