What an exciting night at Atlanta Temple! 🎶🎨🥁

Last night, our Youth Music & Arts classes kicked off again after the summer, and it was such a blessing to see so many of our children learning, creating, making music, and spending time together!

We are also especially blessed to see several of our young adults stepping into leadership roles this year:

🎹 Dakota Meeks – Piano Teacher
🎺 Pearson Hood – Youth Band Leader
🎶 Nicole Hood – Singing Company Leader
🎨 Cailee Foster – Visual Arts Teacher
🎺 Kenny Salazar – Beginner Band Assistant

What a beautiful picture of discipleship—young people who have been poured into are now using their gifts to pour into the next generation. We love seeing them step up to lead, serve, and invest in our children!

We are so thankful for all of our leaders, assistants, and volunteers who make Wednesday nights possible. We can’t wait to see how our young people grow in their gifts, in their relationships with one another, and most importantly, in their relationship with God this year!

Today was Family Celebration Sunday!

We enjoyed worship this morning which included a baby dedication. Then we shared a lovely meal together (no pics - we were too busy eating and chatting!) After lunch there was soccer in the gym and crafts upstairs.

It’s a true blessing to be able to spend time in fellowship with our corps family and friends!

On Tuesday, September 15, the Georgia Brass Band will present a special concert at Atlanta Temple Corps celebrating the life and legacy of Bill Southwood.

Bill was a former member of Atlanta Temple Corps and a gifted musician. This promises to be a wonderful evening of music as we remember Bill and the impact he had on those around him.

The concert begins at 7:30 PM. We hope you’ll join us!

This Sunday, August 30, is our Family Celebration Sunday!

After Sunday School and our morning worship service, everyone is invited to stay for a corps-provided lunch, followed by an afternoon of crafts, games, fellowship, and even a pick-up soccer game for anyone who wants to play.

One of God's greatest gifts is the blessing of community. We look forward to spending time together, strengthening friendships, welcoming new faces, and celebrating the many cultures that make up our church family.

If you're able to join us, we'd love for you to bring a dessert that represents your culture to share with everyone. We can't wait to celebrate together!

Here's the schedule:

9:45 AM - Sunday School
10:45 AM - Worship Service
12:00 PM - Corps Lunch (provided, but bring a dessert if you can!)
After lunch - Fellowship, Crafts, Games, Soccer

We are excited to celebrate Tara Neill Howell, who was enrolled today as the newest soldier of the Atlanta Temple Corps!
