🛠️ Albuquerque kicked off our New Mexico builds with heart and hustle! 💙

At the end of March, our team partnered with dedicated Team Depot volunteers from The Home Depot Foundation in Albuquerque, NM, for another impactful build day. Together, they built picnic tables and park benches that will soon create welcoming spaces for the local community. 🌳🪑

Led by Bill Hess, Director of Disaster Services, and Jaime Valle, ToolBank Disaster Services Rocky Mountain Hub Manager out of Denver, these builds continue to bring together leadership, teamwork, and purpose in every city we visit. 💪

From stop to stop, we’re seeing firsthand how tools and volunteers can transform communities—one build at a time.

More from this New Mexico run coming up next… 👀📸

🛠️Welcome to the ToolBank USA Team, Jayson Green, our new Director of Sustainability!🎉

Jayson brings more than 20 years of executive nonprofit leadership, capacity-building expertise, and a deep passion for community advocacy. His connection to the ToolBank network runs deep, having served on the Executive Committee of the Baltimore Community ToolBank and as part of a member agency for the past eight years. He understands firsthand the power of the affiliate model and what it means to equip communities with the tools they need to succeed.

As a former Executive Director and CEO of a multi-entity community-based nonprofit, Jayson has built a career around developing sustainable systems, diversifying revenue streams, and guiding organizations through strategic growth. His leadership will play a critical role as we continue to strengthen, scale, and expand our impact nationwide.

🦀Based in Maryland, Jayson is a dedicated family man who enjoys traveling, spending time with loved ones, and diving into hands-on DIY home improvement projects. You can also find him grilling and smoking meats for family and friends or co-hosting the podcast Her Rock, His Peace with his wife, Monica.🎙️

🛠️Favorite Tool: Laser Measuring Tool🧰 As Jayson would put it, “Building sustainable, national systems requires both long-range vision and pinpoint accuracy. Just as a laser measure maps out the exact dimensions of a massive warehouse in seconds, I believe in quickly assessing the big picture so we can build a precise, efficient path forward for our affiliates.”

Please join us in welcoming Jayson to the ToolBank USA family!👏

💪Big impact, powered by many hands🛠️🪣

Our Director of ToolBank Disaster Services, Bill Hess, teamed up this week with incredible student volunteers from St. Andrews Bay STEM Academy at our TDS warehouse to pack Grainger Disaster Relief Buckets headed to communities in Hawaii.🌺

In the wake of the devastating flooding across Hawaii, these buckets will provide critical tools 🧰 and cleaning 🧼 supplies to those beginning the long road to recovery. Moments like this remind us that disaster response doesn’t happen alone. It takes partners, people, and purpose.

👏A huge thank you to our supporters, including UPS, for helping transport these essential supplies across land and sea, and to these dedicated students for stepping up to serve others in a time of need. Their energy and compassion make a real difference.💙

🛠️ToolBank Disaster Services has been showing up when it matters most since 2014🚙

From Gray Sky ⛈️ deployments that respond immediately after disasters to Blue Sky 🌤️ efforts that support long-term recovery, TDS equips communities with the tools they need to rebuild.

🚛What started with one trailer has grown to a fleet of 25, yet demand continues to outpace capacity. Every deployment, which comes at no cost to partners, is powered by ToolBank USA and the generosity of supporters who make this work possible.

Our very first deployment tells the story best: after a devastating EF4 tornado 🌪️ struck Arkansas in 2014, TDS equipped 1,900+ volunteers, who completed 100+ projects, to help families begin again.

And that was just the beginning...

🛠️We’re excited to welcome Gissela Hernandez to the ToolBank USA team as our Sacramento Program Manager for ToolBank Disaster Services!🎉 In her role, Gissela will be supporting David Delfin and helping strengthen our disaster relief and long-term recovery efforts in the region.

Gissela joined the team last week, bringing with her a strong background in customer service, organization, and compassionate support from her previous role as a Memorial Marker Coordinator. Her experience working closely with families during meaningful moments has helped shape her thoughtful, people-first approach, something that will be invaluable in her work with TDS.

Outside of work, Gissela is a proud mom of five who loves traveling✈️, cooking👩‍🍳, and spending quality time with her family.👨‍👩‍👧‍👦❤️

And her favorite tool? A hammer, because, as she puts it, “it destroys things.” 🔨💥

Welcome to the team, Gissela, and we’re glad you’re here!

Noah Smock just logged his first miles last week in the Lace Up Like It’s 1995 campaign, and let’s just say… it’s equal parts determination 💪, nostalgia 📻, and a little soreness.🏃‍♂️

In his first blog, Noah shares why he’s taking on this challenge after nearly three decades away from running, what pushed him to start, and how this journey connects directly to ToolBank USA’s mission. 🛠️💙 It’s not just about miles, it’s about showing up for communities and putting in the work, one step at a time. 👣

🛠️Tools for Change. Impact You Can See.

In 2025, ToolBank USA continued to prove what’s possible when communities have access to the right tools and the power of volunteers behind them.

Because of our network, partners, and supporters:
✨ 360,000+ volunteers were equipped with ToolBank
🏗️ 28,000+ projects brought to life
🤝 2,200+ nonprofits served
💥 $18.6 million worth of tools put to work

From building community spaces to supporting long-term disaster recovery, every tool borrowed helped create something bigger...stronger neighborhoods, safer spaces, and real, lasting change.

And while we were showing up in moments of need, we were also preparing for what’s ahead, expanding our reach, strengthening our disaster response, and growing the ToolBank network nationwide.

💙 This is what happens when we put tools in the hands of those who care.
