The East Atlanta Business Association (EABA) strives to create cohesion and communication between businesses in the Village as well as East Atlanta as a whole.

The New York Times says our neighborhood is reaching the crest in what has been a steadily rising wave of cool. As business owners in this popular Atlanta neighborhood, we can tell you this is a GREAT place to live, work and play. Wonderful restaurants, shops and of course, people! Every day we see new improvements to the neighborhood – whether it is a new store or a home being remodeled, things are constantly evolving. East Atlanta Village is a pedestrian-friendly village with a reputation for being hip and cool. Sometimes described as quirky, East Atlanta is home to eclectic clothing boutiques, a seasonal farmer's market, restaurants, pubs and music venues offering live entertainment almost every night of the week. Annual events include the East Atlanta Village STRUT (September), a neighborhood street party that serves as a fundraiser for such organizations as the East Atlanta Community Association. Also on the East Atlanta Village calendar of events are the East Atlanta B**r Festival (May), and the Brownwood Park Bike Rally (June). Another East Atlanta Village celebration, the Battle of Atlanta Festival (July), serves as a reminder that much of the Civil War Battle of Atlanta was fought in and around the neighborhood.

NEW FALL HOURS at the East Atlanta Village Farmers Market!!!

The Fall equinox swung through strong, with long awaited beautiful weather and a bright full moon! By popular vote of farmers, vendors, staff and the community... we will be shifting our hours to 4pm-7pm, starting TODAY! We will be operating with these hours until our final market on November 19th (which is also our annual Giving Thanks Community Potluck!) and then back to our regularly scheduled hours of 4pm-8pm when we reopen in March of 2027! THANK YOU ALL who contributed their opinion!

Have you met our newest small biz, Gann's Juices? Tiffany has been coming through over the past few weeks with some delicious cold-pressed juices for y'all! I highly recommend something fresh and immune-boosting from her - we all know the ick has been going around since the weather got a bit cooler! Also, Josh of Bake n' Jam is making a special pizza for us! Sold by the slice. (Perks of being a market manager: he sends me live shots of his focaccia dough proofing the night before! So cool!)

On October 9, the students, families, and supporters of The Morgan Oliver School will come together at Brownwood Park for their annual Walk-A-Thon. This year, they’re working toward a $50,000 fundraising goal to help support the school’s operations, including their income-based tuition model, student enrichment, and classroom resources. Okra Day is tomorrow at the East Atlanta Village Farmers Market! A celebration of all things OKRA! 🎉💚🎉💚🎉

Real one's know that this was originally named "Free Fried Okra Day" and rest assured, there will be plenty of that to go around 😉 In addition, there will be activities like making okra slime, okra stamp art, an okra photo booth, and our vendors may bring some okra-themed surprises, too!

This is our 16th annual run of this, so yeah, it's great time, and a great way to kick off your Strut-tastic weekend! SEE Y'ALL TOMORROW!

Unfortunately, the East Atlanta Library is still closed for facilities issue with the HVAC system 😓.

The Fulton County Library system hopes to have it back to working order and fixed by Tuesday, Sept. 15. For updates, please check their website at https://www.fulcolibrary.org/ or call 404-612-8700 to check if opened on Wednesday.

From the Branch Manager: For those who are waiting on books to come in, contact other branches about getting a different copy sent there instead if needed immediately. We will also be extending all of our holds for another week once we are back at the branch. Any fees for late books during the closure time will be waived. We are going by today to clear out the book drop.

Thank you for your patience in this ongoing issue with the HVAC system. We hope to see you on Wednesday!
