East Atlanta Business Association The East Atlanta Business Association (EABA) strives to create cohesion and communication between businesses in the Village as well as East Atlanta as a whole.

Come see why the Washington Post calls East Atlanta the best kept secret in Atlanta, the Creative Loafing calls us the epitome of cool and a neighborhood's neighborhood. The New York Times says our neighborhood is reaching the crest in what has been a steadily rising wave of cool. As business owners in this popular Atlanta neighborhood, we can tell you this is a GREAT place to live, work and play.

Wonderful restaurants, shops and of course, people! Every day we see new improvements to the neighborhood – whether it is a new store or a home being remodeled, things are constantly evolving. East Atlanta Village is a pedestrian-friendly village with a reputation for being hip and cool. Sometimes described as quirky, East Atlanta is home to eclectic clothing boutiques, a seasonal farmer's market, restaurants, pubs and music venues offering live entertainment almost every night of the week. Annual events include the East Atlanta Village STRUT (September), a neighborhood street party that serves as a fundraiser for such organizations as the East Atlanta Community Association. Also on the East Atlanta Village calendar of events are the East Atlanta Beer Festival (May), and the Brownwood Park Bike Rally (June). Another East Atlanta Village celebration, the Battle of Atlanta Festival (July), serves as a reminder that much of the Civil War Battle of Atlanta was fought in and around the neighborhood.

We're Feelin' HOT HOT HOT!
It's another beautiful, spicy Thursday, my friends! And speaking of spicy... did you know that peppers are one of your top sources of Vitamin C?! I'm talking like, twice as much as any off-season orange ;) Pair 'em with some farm-grown garlic, and you've got an immune system booster WAY better than any powdery packet... which is good timing, since it's the start of the school year for many of us, which is notorious timing for the spread of viral infections (and also COVID is spiking in the southeast! I've personally fallen victim this week, so I'll miss ya at market today :( BOO!)

If bringing peppers to your teachers is too weird for ya, go old school with some apples - also a great source of vitamin C and super cute to boot! We all know they appreciate all the help they can get ;) Come as you are, bring your family, bring your friends (including the furry ones!), don't be shy and say hi! We're open rain or shine, but rest assured, if a sudden downpour happens, you have my full permission to hide under a tent for shelter until it passes

Our August General Meeting had an amazing turn-out! Thank you to Dice City EAV for hosting, Mercer Street Meals for the delicious chicken salad sliders, and Chelsea Sommers, Realtor for sponsoring the beverages. APD Zone 6 and Liliana's office gave us updates on crime and construction happening in our neighborhood. We met the businesses that recently opened in the Village as well as new businesses working on opening soon - it's very exciting to see these promising changes going on in the business district!

EABA would love your help! If you're a member who'd like to get involved, we'd love to talk to you. Volunteers are needed to grow our business association to have the ability to offer more opportunities to our members. Please reach out to [email protected] if you're interested in learning more!

We’ve missed y’all! After taking a break in July we’re ready to get back into the groove of supporting in East Atlanta. At this meeting we will give a brief overview of some upcoming needs and projects that we hope y’all can help with. Whether its joining a committee to help with a specific event, getting us connected to partners, or just offering some time to walk the village and hang posters, we’d love to have you.

Everyone is welcome to join us! The more business owners, employees and patrons we have staying involved, the better our small businesses will be supported and protected. It takes a Village.

We've got LOTS going on today, so let's jump right in! Shelly of Windswept Goat Dairy is bringing a goat, our friends at LifeSouth are back with the Blood Drive bus, we're rolling out a new compost program (shout-out to CompostNow!), and our neighbors at East Atlanta Business Association will be here with JOI - Just One Ingredient Pet Treats, LLC slinging bubbly and good vibes. OH! And it's the last Thursday to grab Pearsons peaches, so pull up! They MIGHT have some come Saturday, but I wouldn't bet on it if I were you.
