Yesterday afternoon was about making art with friends (lunch and music included!)🫶

Have you heard of our Dementia Respite Support Program through Memory Support Services? Respite is essential for caregivers of individuals living with dementia because the role is both emotionally and physically demanding, often requiring constant supervision and decision-making. Without regular breaks, caregivers are at increased risk for stress, burnout, depression, and declining health. Planned respite provides time to rest, attend to personal needs, and recharge, which ultimately strengthens their ability to continue providing compassionate, sustainable care.

The Dementia Respite Support Program connects trained volunteers with your loved one to provide consistent, one-on-one companionship and stimulating activities, including music engagement shown to lift mood and spark memory✨

We remember. We don’t forget. Never again.

Yom HaShoah, also known as Holocaust Remembrance Day, begins tonight (Monday 4/13) and ends at sundown tomorrow (Tuesday 4/14).

Yom HaShoah is a solemn day of commemoration for the six million Jews who were murdered during the Holocaust by N**i Germany and its collaborators. It is a day dedicated to remembering the victims, honoring the survivors, and reaffirming the commitment to never forget the atrocities of the Shoah (“Shoah” meaning “catastrophe, devastation or destruction” in Hebrew).

The day often includes memorial ceremonies, the lighting of memorial candles, educational programs, and the recitation of names of those who perished. Yom HaShoah serves not only as a tribute to the lives lost but also as a reminder of the dangers of hatred, bigotry, and indifference. It is a call to ensure that future generations understand the Holocaust’s lessons and uphold the values of human dignity and tolerance.
