Kick off your July 4 celebration early with the Dunwoody Preservation Trust!

Start your Independence Day in style and join us on Thursday, July 3, for our complimentary Star-Spangled Open House at the Donaldson-Bannister Farm. Drop in anytime from 10 AM – 2 PM to enjoy a festive atmosphere and a unique historical experience. Sporting red, white, and blue throughout the venue, step back in time to a bygone era inside the farmhouse.

At 11 am, take a flavorful and surprising journey through barbecue traditions that illuminate Georgia’s social, cultural, and civic history with a “Red, White, and ’Cue: Georgia History Through Barbecue,” presented by James “Trae” Welborn III, Associate Professor of History, Georgia College & State University.

Then join us the next day as DPT serves as Grand Marshal of the DHA July 4 Parade. We hope to see you there!

We’re honored to share that the Dunwoody Preservation Trust has been named Grand Marshal of this year’s Dunwoody 4th of July Parade as the community celebrates the parade’s 50th year.

The Dunwoody Homeowners Association has organized this beloved community tradition for decades, bringing neighbors, families, and friends together to celebrate Independence Day and what makes Dunwoody such a special place to call home.

As an organization dedicated to preserving Dunwoody’s history, DPT finds it especially meaningful to be part of a tradition that has helped shape the community’s identity for generations. We are grateful to the DHA for this honor and look forward to celebrating with everyone on July 4.
