nitiated by Dr. Betty Palmer, Professor and Chair for the Department of Leadership Studies and founding Director of the Institute for Community and International Economic Development at Beulah Heights University, Atlanta, Georgia. It was believed that it would be an injustice to cease the flow of knowledge and wisdom that was being funneled to hundreds of community-minded individuals who were purposely seeking to effect and promote change. Therefore, this Network, foremost, establishes a legacy for Dr. Palmer and all of those who have contributed to urban studies and development as well as provides a support system for those who are following in their footsteps.
