Jennifer has been showing up to Strickland's Restaurant every day since 2007 and the friendships she's built with her coworkers are some of her favorite parts of the job. 💙

As part of Hope Haven's Supported Employment program, Jennifer found more than just work. She found a place where she contributes, belongs, and is valued every single day.

Responsible for keeping the kitchen running smoothly, Jennifer ensures every dish, utensil, and piece of kitchenware is cleaned and sanitized to the restaurant's standards. That's nearly two decades of showing up and doing the job right.

Stories like Jennifer's are exactly why we do what we do and why we're grateful for employers like Strickland Restaurant who open their doors and say "you belong here."

Meet Shyanne! 🌟

If you've spent any time around Shyanne, you already know — she brings the energy. Quick with a joke, always ready to make you laugh, and somehow her nails are always on point. (Seriously, how does she do it?)

Shyanne loves pizza, has the best earring game in the room, and reads braille with impressive skill. She's the kind of person who makes every space more fun just by being in it.

We're so glad she's part of the Hope Haven family. 💛

Our Luau was filled with smiles, laughter, and so much fun! From the tropical decorations to the great food, music, and activities, everyone had an amazing time celebrating together.🌺🌴🍍

Seeing the joy on the faces of the individuals we serve is what makes events like these so special. The laughter, friendships, and memories made throughout the day reminded us how important it is to create opportunities for connection and fun.

Grocery shopping is more than just checking items off a list — it's a skill, a routine, and a step toward independence. 💙

Kevin and his DSP, Gwen, are tackling his monthly grocery run together, staying on budget and making smart choices along the way. Gwen helps Kevin read nutrition labels and compare options so he can feel confident about the foods he brings home.

This is Community Living Support in action — meeting people where they are, helping them build the skills and routines that make independent living possible. Kevin lives on his own in the community, and moments like this one are a big part of why that works.

We're so proud of Kevin and grateful for the dedicated staff who make independence a reality every single day.

We celebrated Ben's retirement from Hope Haven after 9 and a half years! Ben has been such a dedicated part of our community, and his commitment have touched so many lives along the way.

Our folks showed up and showed out at the Athens Diaper Bank! 💙

We love when we get to step out of our usual routines and serve alongside our neighbors in Athens. Our Community Access individuals had a blast lending a hand — sorting, stacking, and making sure local families have what they need.

We're so grateful for organizations like Athens Diaper Bank who are doing meaningful work right here in our backyard, and even more grateful that our folks get to be part of it.
