Another Astoria-made film is headed our way!

If you enjoy keeping up with movies filmed here on the Oregon Coast, this is one to watch for. The Cycle, from writer/director Jordan Downey and starring Deborah Ann Woll, was filmed in Astoria and is coming this fall. We love seeing the Oregon Film story continue with new productions right here in Astoria.

Collider.com caught up with them at San Diego Comic Con to talk about the horror film, its journey to the screen, and what audiences can expect. Check out the interview at the link.

The Cycle star Deborah Ann Woll and director Jordan Downey talk their new Shudder horror film, Downey's upcoming sci-fi project, and Woll's Daredevil

🎬 A great Astoria movie location shot?
🌊 Something that captures the spirit of film fandom on the Oregon Coast?
⚡ A photo from this year’s celebration weekend?

The celebration weekend may be over, but there's still time to experience a piece of it. ⚡🎬
The Short Circuit 40th Anniversary exhibit remains on display at the Clatsop County Historical Society's Heritage Museum throughout the summer, offering fans a chance to explore memorabilia, behind-the-scenes stories, and the film's connection to the Oregon Coast.
The museum is also offering remaining event merchandise from the celebration headquarters and convention floor while supplies last.
Whether you couldn't make it to Astoria for the anniversary weekend or simply want to relive some favorite memories, it's worth adding to your summer visit plans.

Sharp-eyed movie fans may notice a fun little crossover hidden in this year’s Great Columbia Crossing 10K shirt design… ⚡
The artwork from fan Virginia Smith includes a subtle tribute to Short Circuit 40th Anniversary Celebration featuring the recognizable porch from the movie house and a familiar little robot making a parachuting from the Astoria-Megler Bridge. Definitely an “if you know, you know” detail. 😄
For movie fans who want one, the Great Columbia Crossing offers both:
🏃 an in-person bridge event this October
📦 a virtual option where the shirt & medal can be mailed anywhere
Kind of fun seeing Astoria’s film history continue popping up in unexpected places.
