We think it may finally be time for a new cover photo for the Goonies Day in Astoria page. The current header has been with us for many years of fan gatherings, movie celebrations, guest appearances, and unforgettable weekends in Astoria.

The celebration weekend may be over, but there's still time to experience a piece of it. ⚡🎬
The Short Circuit 40th Anniversary exhibit remains on display at the Clatsop County Historical Society's Heritage Museum throughout the summer, offering fans a chance to explore memorabilia, behind-the-scenes stories, and the film's connection to the Oregon Coast.
The museum is also offering remaining event merchandise from the celebration headquarters and convention floor while supplies last.
Whether you couldn't make it to Astoria for the anniversary weekend or simply want to relive some favorite memories, it's worth adding to your summer visit plans.

Whether you're celebrating at home or in Astoria for the Short Circuit 40th Anniversary Celebration, we hope you're making memories, finding treasure, and sharing adventures with friends old and new.

Goonies Day and Circuit 40th Anniversary Celebration weekend is here! Swing into the Astoria-Warrenton Area Chamber of Commerce Visitor Center for maps, local tips and merch. We have new glasses for the weekend and a variety of The Goonies and local souvenirs, plus recommendations of where else to shop, eat and play in the area.
The Visitor Center is open
Friday 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Saturday 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Sunday 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.

The countdown is over! Fans are already beginning to arrive on the Oregon Coast for the Official Short Circuit 40th Anniversary Celebration & Astoria Film Celebration. The weekend kicks off with a community beach fire Thursday evening in Cannon Beach, followed by three days of screenings, guest appearances, panels, exhibits, workshops, trivia, merchandise, an 80s prom, and plenty of opportunities to meet fellow movie fans.

One of the best parts of these film celebration weekends in Astoria has always been hearing the behind-the-scenes stories directly from the people who made the movies. This year’s Short Circuit 40th Anniversary Celebration is bringing cast & crew guests, screenings, panels, & workshops, all wrapped up in a full weekend of 80s nostalgia.
It’s fun seeing the annual film celebration continue to grow beyond just one movie while still keeping that same fan energy alive in Astoria.
