Fairground Field Winter Shut-down
PLEASE due to wet field conditions, we ask that you do not attempt to drive your vehicles on any part of the lower fairground property. The ground is very soft and someone has already dug deep ruts on the roadway to our flying site. We will have to repair this damage after the ground dries-up in the Spring before we can resume flying.

Until further notice, all flying will be done at the Ilwaco Airport flying site, and remember that you must have an observer to watch for full-size aircraft when using that site. Field usage rules are posted on top of the tables.

Enjoy the "Building Season".

A word from Jim: I made four good take-offs and three good landings then flipped it on its back in a failed attempt at a touch-and-go. It flies fast, has lots of power and eats a lot of air space, but I can say that it is fun to fly. The flip over ended my flying session as it flooded the motors and speed controllers. I removed the props, cowls, motors and speed controllers to find one of the speed controllers burned to a crisp. I am going to inquire about the possibility of getting waterproof speed controllers. I plan to fly my other plane Wednesday at the fairground. I hope to see you there.
