Call for Presentations – 2027 CALCP Spring Training Conference offering
Colorado Department of Agriculture & International Society of Arboriculture CEUs.

Have knowledge or experience that could benefit Colorado’s arborist, lawn care, and green industry professionals? We’d love to hear from you!

CALCP is accepting speaker proposals for our 39th Annual Spring Training Conference, March 2–3, 2027, at the Denver Marriott Westminster.

We’re looking for industry professionals, educators, researchers, and subject-matter experts to share practical knowledge on tree care, turf and plant health, pest management, safety, equipment, technology, business operations, regulatory issues, and more.

Presentations that qualify for CDA pesticide applicator continuing education credits or ISA CEUs are especially encouraged.

New this year! We’re adding a third classroom, allowing us to offer more ISA CEU opportunities and expand our educational sessions to include valuable industry topics that may not qualify for CDA or ISA credits.

You don't need to be an experienced presenter. If you have something valuable to share with Colorado's green industry, we encourage you to submit a proposal.

Colorado Arborists and Lawn Care Professionals (CALCP) is now accepting presentation proposals for the 39th Annual Spring Training Conference, March 2–3, 2027, at the Denver Marriott Westminster.

Tall Timbers has been serving Colorado for more than 25 years, with teams serving the Colorado Springs and Castle Rock areas. Their work includes professional tree and shrub care, plant health care, pruning, pest and disease management, removals and fire mitigation.
We’re happy to have them join the growing community of professionals that makes up Colorado Arborists and Lawn Care Professionals.
CALCP was built around the idea that our industry is better when we’re connected. WATER SUPPLY UPDATE: We received some welcome rainstorms, but drought conditions remain firmly in place. At DIA, the year-to-date precipitation deficit is still 4.24 inches. The storms were highly localized rather than widespread, limiting their overall hydrologic benefit.

Our storage reservoirs, which rely on mountain snowpack, are so far behind that it is clear we’ll need to take additional steps in response to drought conditions worsening this summer, so Denver Water is looking at ending to lawn watering season on Oct. 1. If the board approves this recommendation, which is expected to be considered later in August, it would mean that customers can only hand-water trees and plants, but will be required to turn off spray irrigation systems after Sept. 30.

If you are the only one on your block with a lush green lawn, you might want to revisit your watering practices, as your overuse is compounding the impacts of this historic drought on our water storage supplies. We’re asking everyone to care more and water less, so we don’t have to take more drastic steps in the future, which could create more damaging impacts to our landscapes. Our reservoirs are projected to be only 60% full next spring — every drop saved goes a long way in helping us stretch our water supplies.
