Mirror Image Arts Mirror Image Arts passion and purpose is to disrupt the school to prison pipeline. We work with youth (ages 7-21) in schools and juvenile detention centers.

Mirror Image Arts utilizes interactive theatre, positive youth development, trauma-informed and restorative approaches. Through our work, we aim to give youth access to the arts while opening up spaces for them to express themselves through play, imagination and dialogue. To feel valued, seen, and heard. To be experts of their own lives and have the opportunity to make mistakes and come back stronger. To practice their resilience and their potential.

A huge thank you to the Arvada Chamber of Commerce for their Day of Service! 💛

Members volunteered all across Arvada to support local nonprofits, and we were lucky to have a crew join us at our Center for Restorative Theatre. They helped us freshen up our outdoor space, creating even more places of dignity, healing, and growth for the youth we work with.

Meet our second Disruptor of 2026: Pathways 💜🧡

For three years, we’ve partnered with Pathways, the diversion program for Jefferson and Gilpin County, to keep young people from becoming further involved in the legal system.

Pathways have been responsive, collaborative, and always willing to meet youth where they are, centering what’s best for each young person. They are the definition of a partner who shows up with meaningful support, positive relationships, and lasting impact.

Pathways, thank you for being a true Disruptor and for having our youth’s backs. 👏

Meet our first Disruptor of 2026: MY Denver! 💜🧡

Each year at I Got Your Back, we honor those who courageously push boundaries, think outside the box, defy the status quo, and fiercely advocate for our youth.

Over the years, we've been building residency programs at Denver Parks and Recreation-MY Denver centers that culminate in public performances centered on youth voice, shared with their communities. What has elevated these projects is the tireless work, creativity, and joy of the MY Denver team.
