💥Super southern meeting! Branch St Deli, Arroyo Grande Village, yummy food, great get together and update on all the projects, fundraising events and support for other groups and clubs happening now. And VP John’s Top Hand Award 🥇👏 John Gleason kept us going when no one would step up to lead, look at us now! Going strong thanks to committed volunteers that love and work our Los Padres and other local public lands. Thank you John and Karen!

⛺️⚒️🌲 YOU DON’T NEED A HORSE TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE!

*Many people assume that the Backcountry Horsemen is only for horse owners. The truth is, some of our most valuable volunteers don’t own a horse at all!

Whether you’re a hiker, camper, photographer, parent, retiree, student, or simply someone who loves the outdoors, there is a place for you in the Backcountry Horsemen family.

🌲 Ways Non-Horse Owners Can Help:

✅ Trail maintenance and cleanup
✅ Litter pickup and campsite stewardship
✅ Photography and social media content
✅ Event support and registration
✅ Membership and fundraising assistance
✅ Educational outreach and community events
✅ Trail mapping and GPS projects
✅ Sponsorship and donor support

👧👦 Kids Can Help Too!
✅ Pick up trash on trails and campgrounds
✅ Learn Leave No Trace principles
✅ Help with educational displays and projects
✅ Assist at events and information booths
✅ Learn trail etiquette and outdoor stewardship
✅ Become the next generation of trail advocates

Every volunteer hour matters. Every trail cleared, every piece of trash removed, every educational conversation, and every helping hand contributes to preserving access to our public lands.

At B*H Los Padres, we’re more than a riding club—we’re a volunteer organization dedicated to keeping trails open, protecting public lands, and educating the public about responsible outdoor recreation.

🐴 You don’t need a horse to make a difference.
💛 You just need a heart for the outdoors and a willingness to help.

Join us and become part of something bigger!
