Hot off the presses! The Arlington Porchfest 2026 map is ready for this weekend! We'll have them handy for those who would like to stop by the Arlington Porchfest Headquarters at Whittemore Park (corner of 611 Mass Ave and Mystic St), but we have also dropped stacks of maps off at over a dozen local Arlington businesses if you want to grab yours early!

With over 300 performances and exhibits this year, Arlington Porchfest is set to be a jam-packed day of connecting with neighbors and celebrating the arts in Arlington! When Arlington Center for the Arts (ACA) launched Arlington Porchfest in 2016, who would have thought it would become one of our town’s largest signature events? Ten years later, some 10,000 neighbors and visitors will gather again for more than 300 performances on porches, in yards, and along driveways. Entirely free and absolutely full of joy, this celebration of music and community will literally run from one end of Arlington to the other on June 20, 2026!

This year's anniversary carries special meaning. After more than six years leading ACA, our Executive Director, Tom Formicola, is retiring. In recognition of the 10th anniversary of Arlington Porchfest, its spirit of inclusivity, and Tom's meaningful contributions to ACA and our community, we're asking our community to consider making a tax-deductible donation in recognition of these important milestones.

Every gift, at every level, will help to sustain the full range of ACA programs that have been bringing people together for nearly 40 years. Donations may be made online at acarts.org/donate. Looking forward to celebrating community once again this Saturday! See you there!

Have you stopped by to try out our new Exhibition Audio Tour? We are excited to announce we are piloting an audio tour program for our gallery! This is a new program that we are trialing for Back to the Drawing Board, and it offers visual descriptions and audio transcriptions of exhibited artwork on display via MP3 devices and self-directed smartphone use.

Visit the show in this final week and provide feedback as we work to incorporate this resources into future exhibitions at ACA! Many thanks to ACA Access Council member Allie D'Amico for her amazing work on recording and developing this tour with ACA staff!

ID: A white, L-shaped table displays signage that reads "Audio Tour" with text and QR codes, and three grey baskets with MP3 devices.

Calling all creative teens! The Understudies Art Collective is a teen-led space at Arlington Center for the Arts, designed for creativity and conversation, open to ages 14 and up. Through hands-on projects such as zines, sustainable fashion, and mixed media, members will engage with social issues they care about while making art or working on personal projects in a friendly, laidback environment. No experience needed! Just come to discuss real-world issues, share ideas, & be part of a new, creative community.

Meet-ups will be held on every other Tuesday through June 9 and each one will focus on a different art form and social topic. Visit tfaforms.com/5219954 to sign up!
