Just a few more days left to apply for Arlington Open Studios 2026! Each year this event showcases and supports local artists with opportunities to view and purchase work, and celebrate community! Artists who work in all mediums including painting, photography, fiber, ceramics, glass, fine jewelry, mixed media, printmaking and sculpture are encouraged to apply. The submission deadline is Wednesday, September 9 at 5pm and you can visit acarts.org/aos-call-for-artists for all the info on this year's event. ⁠

Calling all ACA members! Arlington Center for the Arts invites our members to submit work to our annual Members Show: Opposites Attract! This exhibition welcomes artists in helping us build the intersections where our diverse work can live in harmony.

Deadline to submit is Monday, September 7 and all active members of ACA are invited to submit up to three (3) works of art to this opportunity. Not currently a member? Visit acarts.org/calls-for-artists to learn more about this exhibit and about all of our terrific membership options!⁠

Today is the day for Arlington Porchfest 2026! The weather is looking down right gorgeous and we've got lots of porches and bands that are ready to celebrate across Arlington! ⁠

The event runs from 12pm to 6pm with the “west zone” activated from 12pm to 4pm and the “east zone” activated from 2pm to 6pm. A full event map and schedule of events can be found at arlingtonporchfest.org. Make a plan for the day and learn more about all of our event participants! Stop by ACA's Arlington Porchfest Headquarters at Whittemore Park (611 Mass Ave) to grab a map, ask questions, or just say hey! Happy Porchfesting!⁠

We'd like to extend a message of thanks to the organizations who have supported Arlington Porchfest this year! Hot off the presses! The Arlington Porchfest 2026 map is ready for this weekend! We'll have them handy for those who would like to stop by the Arlington Porchfest Headquarters at Whittemore Park (corner of 611 Mass Ave and Mystic St), but we have also dropped stacks of maps off at over a dozen local Arlington businesses if you want to grab yours early!

With over 300 performances and exhibits this year, Arlington Porchfest is set to be a jam-packed day of connecting with neighbors and celebrating the arts in Arlington! Visit ArlingtonPorchfest.org for a list of businesses carrying the map now, all of the event info, and to access our digital interactive map!⁠
