✅ By Voting Yes to the override on March 28th, you will help ensure our community is able to provide the many programs and services that make Arlington a place we love to live ❤️

The Arlington Libraries Foundation typically does not comment on town votes, but a failed override may mean that our libraries would face significant negative impacts.

🦊 The Fox Branch Library may be small in size, but it’s mighty in impact. 📚✨

In 2025 alone, it accounted for 27% of all visits across Arlington’s library system — welcoming more than 80,000 visitors a year.

Library services have been at the heart of East Arlington since the first East Branch opened in 1917. Today, the Fox Branch is more vibrant and heavily used than ever. Patrons from across town come to attend programs, browse collections, work remotely, gather for community meetings, or stop by the beloved Fox & Robbin Shop.

For families and children, it’s a cherished gathering place. Since COVID, we’ve also seen a growing number of adults relying on the space as a hub for connection, learning, and work. 💙

📚 Arlington votes on a budget override on March 28th. A YES vote maintains the services we all reply on and the hard-won improvements over the past decade.

The Arlington Libraries Foundation generally does not comment on town votes; however, if the override fails to pass, it would have a substantial negative impact on our libraries.

Arlington will be forced to cut $3.7M starting July 1, 2026 and $19.3M the following year. That means fewer library hours at Robbins, and phasing out the Fox Branch.

A YES vote keeps Arlington strong – preserving the library services our community relies on every day. ✅
