Rescue Food, Nourish Our Community!

Food Link is a community organization that rescues fresh food, alleviates hunger, and contributes to environmental sustainability.

At Food Link, we rescue and distribute 2 million lbs. of food annually. We prioritize fresh nourishing foods for our communities, but sometimes giant gummy bears make their way to us. This 5 lb. bear made up 0.00025% of our total volume!

Yesterday, our volunteers and staff gathered to say goodbye to our Operations Coordinator, Khadejeh. 🧡

Khadejeh has been with Food Link for over five years, starting as our Administrative Assistant before transitioning to our Operations team. We're going to miss her dedication to our partners, her innovative ideas to streamline processes, and her cheery attitude. From all of us at Food Link: Khadejeh, we wish you the absolute best in your next role!

(PS: If you missed her send off, you'll still see Khadejeh around the Hub packing boxes of food and tending to our garden as a volunteer!)

Huge shoutout to our Bagel Star, Tristan, for setting a new record today: 441 bagels repacked! This equates to 8 boxes that will be delivered to our partners. Food Link's previous record was 317 bagels, also held by Tristan. He's unstoppable!

Tristan volunteers with us through LABBB Collaborative, an education and training program for young adults with disabilities.

Did you know? Food Link is open on most holidays, and they’re some of our busiest days of the year.

Our volunteers and staff had a jam-packed Memorial Day. In just one day, we picked up from 12 food donors, distributed to 7 community organizations, and moved 6,000 lbs. of food!

Although food rescue is our primary mission, we often receive flower and plant donations. These plants are from Whole Foods in Medford and we delivered them to our partners at group homes and affordable housing facilities to brighten the residents' days.
