Funding For The Fox Cares Foundation
More than a path to or for charity, Fox Cares is a platform for assistance and advocacy; a way for community members to support organizations helping people throughout Northeast Wisconsin discover the security of a warm home, the stability of a warm meal, and the freedom to share the warmth in their hearts through art. In addition to donations from community me

mbers, the foundation is supported by proceeds from fundraising events sponsored by Fox Communities Credit Union, such as Bike to the Beat and their team member silent auction.

Last week, Fox Cares Foundation was honored to be represented at the Hmong American Day celebration and luncheon at the Long Cheng Community Center in Appleton. Long Cheng Marketplace
Our Executive Director, Amanda Brown, had the opportunity to engage with community members, learn more about Hmong history and culture, and experience a beautiful traditional dance performance by local youth.
We are especially proud to have supported this group of dancers through a Fox Cares grant, which helped provide materials for the handcrafted Hmong outfits worn during their performances. Seeing the impact of this support come to life in such a meaningful way speaks to the importance of investing in cultural preservation and community connection.
Amanda was also presented with a handmade gift of appreciation created by a Hmong elder—an incredible reminder of the artistry and heritage within the community.
We are grateful for the opportunity to support and celebrate alongside such a vibrant and welcoming community.

As we wrap up National Volunteer Month, Trent Woelfel has an important message: Helping others helps you as much as it helps them, and it feels good! You learn valuable skills, meet great people who also value helping others, and whether you're young or more established in your career, there are lots of great ways to give back. 💙 Community involvement enriches everyone.
Thank you to our board members for sharing their wisdom this month. We hope their insights inspire you to get involved in ways that work for you. Every contribution matters.

Sarah Schneider has powerful words for anyone wondering about getting involved: Buy a homeless person a meal and learn their name—you'll notice a person. Serve at Salvation Army—you'll witness gratitude. Build a Habitat house—you'll appreciate what a home is. Hold a baby at the maternity house—you'll see how precious life is. 💙 Experience transforms understanding. Get involved today.

Many communities were likely affected with recent heavy rains and storms.

Keep in mind that if a person or family receive FoodShare benefits and lost food due to the storms (ie loss of power to their refrigerators), they may be eligible for replacement benefits equal to the value of food purchased with FoodShare. To submit for the reimbursement, FoodShare recipients should fill out the Request for Replacement FoodShare and/or Summer EBT Benefits Form. Requests must be submitted within 10 days of the weather event.

When our communities need help, we show up.
Severe flooding is impacting many areas we serve, and today our Executive Director, Amanda Brown spent a couple hours filling sandbags in New London alongside Katie Hoy Batten from WHBY-Woodward Community Media and MANY other community members who answered the call.
Our hearts are with every person, family and business facing this flooding. While these sandbags offer mighty support against the rising waters, and we pray they keep homes and businesses safe, what truly matters is what we witnessed today: a community coming together. Hundreds of people showing up with a little time and effort—and together, this small gesture becomes powerful protection.
This is what community looks like. This is what stepping up in times of need looks like. 💙
Stay safe, neighbors. We're in this together.
