Stronger Together: The Power of Collaboration!
KCSC Executive Director Dr. Ji-Young Cho joined fellow members of the Aging Care Together (ACT) Coalition as a panelist at the Korean American Community Foundation - KACF Nonprofit Convening & Summit in San Francisco (9/30-10/3).
The panel brought together leaders from four Korean American nonprofit organizations:
- Dr. Ji-Young Cho, Executive Director, Korean Community Service Center of Greater Washington-KCSCGW
- Myung Mi Kim, President, Korean Community Services of Metropolitan New York, Inc. (KCS)
- Irene Sohn, Executive Director, Hanul Family Alliance 한울종합복지관 (Chicago)
- Dr. Hyewon Shin, Executive Director, Somang Society (Los Angeles)
Together, they shared their experiences in building a multi-state coalition dedicated to strengthening services and support for older adults and caregivers.
Their message was simple but powerful: A shared mission brings organizations together, but mutual trust, respect, and a willingness to share strengths and learn from one another make collaboration truly successful.
The panel inspired fellow nonprofit leaders to explore new opportunities for partnership and collective impact, demonstrating how organizations working across different communities can achieve more together.
KCSC is proud to be part of this meaningful collaboration and looks forward to continuing to build stronger partnerships to better serve our aging communities.
