The Vietnamese Student Associations of Northern Virginia Community College (VSA-NOVA), a non-profit, non-partisan, community-based organization, is a mean for youths to organize the local community. VSA-NOVA is comprised of volunteers including alumni, educators, and college students from many different walks of life adding diversity and creativity to the club who share a common interest in develo
ping union, sharing knowledge, and conserving the traditional Vietnamese culture. Servicing the Vietnamese community of Northern Virginia, we organize a wide range of social, cultural, and educational activities to help Vietnamese youths develop a sense of their heritage and identity. VSA-NOVA hopes to provide the necessary interaction between those of different backgrounds to build cross-cultural bridges and foster acceptance and awareness. We aim to make VSA-NOVA a dynamic organization on campus as well as in Northern Virginia. We strive to create a supportive and cooperative community for those of Vietnamese and non-Vietnamese descent. By broadening our involvement in various communities, we hope our members will have valuable networks within and beyond the VSA-NOVA and Vietnamese communities, develop a keen sense of leadership, and have a more valuable college experience.
