Children should not be alone in courtrooms. Unaccompanied children are our neighbors, classmates, and friends. Yet thousands of them are now at risk of losing access to legal representation because the Trump administration ended a contract with the nonprofit network that has defended them for over 2 decades.

Over 20,000 children could be left to navigate one of the world's most complex legal systems alone — against trained government attorneys, in a language they may

We're sharing this thought-provoking cover art from along with some keen insight from , the dedicated activists, artists, and organizers of this amazing effort:

In this campfire scene, three battle-worn characters gather after standing against the dragon. But they didn't defeat it alone. Only by coming together, each armed with their own unique and individual gifts, were they able to vanquish the monster that threatened the beloved community.

All of us at ILJ Network are so thankful that the community has banded together to help immigrant families across the U.S. live safely, securely, and together. We're also grateful for their many messages of support and encouragement for our work during these difficult times.

There are still dragons to vanquish, and none of us can do it alone.

Thank you again for rolling with us! 🎲💪💙

As of today, July 31, 24,000 unaccompanied children risk losing access to the attorneys who built their cases — some over months or years. Without representation, these children will face judges, complex forms, and life-altering decisions by themselves. Fewer than 1% will win their cases.

This isn’t just a funding dispute. It’s a deliberate decision that could endanger the lives of thousands of children overnight.

Unaccompanied children have a congressionally mandated right to counsel. Without it, many face return to the exact violence or trafficking they fled. And while this contract may expire today, HHS and the Trump administration must still honor its commitment to provide legal services for unaccompanied children.

These children have already survived so much. Don’t let the system take away their last chance at justice. Please call your representatives TODAY—and tell them kids need lawyers, not deportation orders.

The termination of a federal contract that pays nonprofit organizations for providing legal assistance to immigrant children will affect 90 organizations nationwide.

Worldwide, tabletop role-playing gamers ( ) use their strength, intelligence, and specialized abilities to fight against terrifying monsters, facing impossible odds in the righteous struggle to defend, protect, and preserve the beloved community.

The many talented artists and creators who have donated hundreds of handmade dice, accessories, jewelry, and one-of-a-kind artwork for this auction are continuing this epic fight to bring justice to a darkened world.

So we call upon the clerics and paladins to join us at the frontlines and wield radiant light to shield targeted communities. We ask the rogues to utilize stealth to document ICE and Border Patrol’s violation of our constitutional rights. And we thank everyone for their compassion, generosity, and support of our own beloved immigrant communities.

A special thank you to for allowing us to use this inspiring artwork.

"We stand with the family of Lorenzo Salgado Araujo and with the Houston community in mourning, in righteous anger, and in the demand for justice. We will not allow his life to be reduced to a headline. We will remember him as a human being whose dignity must be honored with truth, accountability, and change."

Immigration Law & Justice Network and our affiliate, Justice For All Immigrants, decry the fatal shooting of Lorenzo Salgado Araujo by an ICE agent just a few miles from JFAI’s Houston office.

“We are deeply concerned by the use of aggressive immigration enforcement tactics and the harm they inflict on immigrant communities,” states JFAI Executive Director Joy Green. “No individual should have to live in fear of the government. Justice requires accountability as well as respect for the dignity of every person.”

“This agency is turbo-charged with billions in funding and operates with zero guardrails," asserts ILJ Network Co-Executive Director, Melissa Bowe. "We have said it before, and we will say it again: ICE is a dangerous and rogue agency that must be abolished to protect human lives.”

Justice for all Immigrants and ILJ Network join community leaders and advocates in calling for a full, transparent, and independent investigation into the circumstances surrounding Mr. Salgado Araujo’s death.

We've been thinking a lot about the tragic shooting of Lorenzo Salgado Araujo by agents on Tuesday.

His death is a sorrowful reminder of the urgency and significance of our network's efforts to free immigrant clients from ICE custody and detention.

As an asylum seeker with humanitarian parole, Ramiro came to his local ICE office in Chicago for his routine check-in.

There he was immediately handcuffed, arrested, and transported 500 miles away to a remote detention center in Kentucky—far from his support system of family, church, and community and with no access to legal counsel.

Luckily, his family found Katie Taylor, legal director for Neighbors Immigration Clinic—our ILJ affiliate in Kentucky.

Katie immediately recognized that Ramiro had a strong habeas case. His two-year parole had not yet expired, nor had it been formally revoked. His detention had been unlawful, and Katie could—and would—file a habeas petition to prove it.
