This Labor Day, we recognize and appreciate the hard work and dedication of the people who help strengthen our community every day. From volunteers and partners to staff and supporters, your efforts make our mission possible.

In observance of Labor Day, the Habitat for Humanity of Anderson County ReStore will be closed on Saturday, September 5, and the office will be closed on Monday, September 7.

August was an amazing 40th birthday month for Habitat Anderson! We rounded it out by hosting a celebration for the people at the heart of what we do: our homeowners. 40 years and 100 homes means we got to see a lot of friendly faces and enjoy some time with the Habitat community. It was like our own family reunion!

This could not have happened without some of our amazing Anderson neighbors. THANK YOU: Brothers BBQ LLC & Catering for feeding us, Jojo and Nichole Abbey for providing jams for us to dance to, and Glen Raven for special gifts for the homeowners!

It's the first of September and that means Women Build 2026, powered by Arthrex, is right around the corner! Join us, and women from around the community, on Saturday, September 26th to raise the walls and funds for a Habitat home during an empowering morning filled with music, friendship, and impact.

Individual teams of up to five ladies (and men!) will commit to raising at least $1500 per team. All of the money your team raises through your personal fundraising page will go directly towards building the home that YOU help get started!

Don't have a team but still want to build? Go ahead and register and we'll put you on a team with other amazing community members! For single builders, we ask that you raise a minimum of $300.

Habitat Anderson is so grateful to Robyn Gambrell Knox, the President of The HR Business Connect, for helping us say yes to growth! Last Friday she hosted a workshop and held a space for us to be silly, create vulnerable trust, and learn our leadership styles. It was such a great opportunity for us to pause and connect with each other in the midst of our brand-new, exciting projects. Growth can be great when we care for each other along the way!

Robyn also serves on our Board and is a kind, compassionate presence that believes in the importance of the Habitat mission. Thank you, Robyn, for all you do!

Habitat Anderson is so blessed to own and operate our own ReStore as a year-round fundraiser. The ReStore accepts donations and sells a constantly changing inventory of diverse, high-quality merchandise at a fraction of the retail price.

The sales from donated items help Habitat Anderson partner with local families to build safe and affordable homes in our community—a good deal for you, our shared community, and the environment.

Donations to Cars for Homes also furthers our mission to build housing for deserving Andersonians! By donating to Cars for Homes, you are disposing of your well-loved vehicles in a responsible way that protects the environment AND the proceeds come directly to support the Habitat Anderson mission.

We had such a fun time celebrating our birthday at the ReStore yesterday and showing off the progress on our 100th home and first senior cottage. Building a Habitat home isn't just about swinging a hammer - it's about discovering what you're capable of.

4 years ago, Stephinika worked alongside volunteers to build the home her and her two children live in now, and she gained more than a few new skills along the way. She gained the confidence to chase a dream she'd been putting off for years.

Since her last interview in 2022, she was pursuing her goal of becoming a registered nurse - a journey she said began with the determination she found through Habitat's homeownership program.

As we continue The Road to 100 Homes and celebrate 40 years of serving Anderson County, we're celebrating the lasting impact of homeownership. Because when families have the opportunity to build a home, they often discover they can build an even brighter future.
