4-H Day at the South Carolina State Fair! 🍀🎡
Join your fellow 4-H members Saturday, October 17, and get ready for a fun-filled day at the fair with your 4-H friends! 🎉
💚 4-H members get FREE admission! Just wear a 4-H shirt or show your 4-H membership card at the gate.
✨ Don’t miss the 4-H Day Ceremony at 1:00 PM in the Nutt Cattle Arena, hosted by the State 4-H Teen Council! We’ll start gathering at 12:45 PM for the ceremony, so come a little early and join your fellow 4-H members!

We can’t wait to see our 4-H members showing off their 4-H spirit at the fair!

🎃🍂 Anderson County 4-H Pumpkin Project 🍂🎃

Open to all Anderson County youth ages 5–18!

Get ready for a fun, hands-on growing adventure with the Anderson County 4-H Pumpkin Project! Participants will receive two pumpkin transplants and a Pumpkin Project Bingo Card filled with activities to complete from planting through harvest.

🌱 What You'll Do:
🎃 Plant and care for your pumpkins
📸 Document your progress with photos throughout the season
✅ Complete activities on your Pumpkin Project Bingo Card
🖥️ Create a photo slideshow or presentation with captions showing each step of your pumpkin-growing journey

To complete the project, youth will:
• Take photos of themselves completing each Bingo square
• Create a photo slideshow or presentation with captions for each activity
• Submit their final project presentation by November 30

📅 Important Dates
📝 Registration Deadline: July 15
🚜 Supply Pickup: July 20–24 at the Anderson Clemson Extension Office
📂 Final Project Presentation Due: November 30

Whether you're new to gardening or already enjoy growing your own food, this project is a great way to build responsibility, creativity, and agricultural knowledge while having fun with pumpkins!

We’re excited to announce our upcoming Ag Safety Day for kids, hosted at the Center Rock Fire Department. The Clemson University Agricultural Safety Program team will guide youth through a series of hands‑on learning stations focused on staying safe around equipment, livestock, and farm environments.

Participants will also receive Stop the Bleed and basic first aid training—important skills for any young person growing up in agriculture.

Ag Safety Day will take place the day before the benefit for our friend, Kyle Hatcher, as he continues to recover from his traumatic tractor accident. This event is a meaningful way to honor him while giving our kids a strong foundation in farm safety and awareness.

It’s a powerful opportunity for our youth to learn how to protect themselves and others while working and playing on the farm.
