Sherry Ballinger was a faithful volunteer at the Museum of Madison County History. Sherry was a teacher with the Anderson Community Schools and St. Mary's Catholic School. REMNANTS OF THE INTERURBAN BRIDGE IN THE FLOOD OF 1913

According to Stephen T. Jackson, Madison County (IN) Historian, "the Truman Bridge is the bridge at the north end of Main Street that goes to Anderson University. A short distance north of the West end of the Truman Bridge is a concrete structure standing about five feet high and six feet wide. That is the support for the old bridge. Two of the photographs show it up close from the Truman Bridge. The third photograph was taken standing at the support looking east across the Truman Bridge toward Park Place."

MADISON COUNTY AND MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL
Stephen T. Jackson, Madison County (IN) Historian, will present "Madison County (IN) and Major League Baseball" on September 1, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at the Frankton Community Library, 102 South Church St., Frankton. His presentation will introduce twelve young men born in Madison County (IN) who have played Major League Baseball. This is the story of their remarkable achievements. This event is free and open to the public.

SHALL WE GATHER AT THE WHITE RIVER..
Stephen T. Jackson, Madison County (IN) Historian, will present "Shall We Gather at the River" on September 8, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. in the Chief Anderson Room located on the third floor of the Anderson (IN) Public Library. His presentation will chronicle two very different religious groups, the Moravians and the Spiritualists, who established themselves along the White River in Madison County (IN).
