💭 What if your worst day became your turning point?

For many people experiencing homelessness, all it takes is one unexpected event—a medical emergency, job loss, domestic violence, or the loss of a loved one—to change everything.

Most people don’t plan to become homeless.

This Wednesday, we challenge everyone to replace judgment with curiosity and kindness. A smile. A conversation. A donated item. A shared resource. Small acts of compassion can have a lasting impact.

At Alaskan Way, we’re working toward solutions that restore dignity, stability, and hope—one person at a time.

We have a challenge for our community today.

Take a moment to look around your home and think about one thing you may take for granted…

🏠 A warm bed.
🚿 A hot shower.
🍽️ A meal in your kitchen.
❤️ A safe place to call home.

Now imagine facing a medical condition while having none of those things.

For many Alaskans, that’s their reality.

Today, we challenge you to do one act of kindness:
✅ Donate an item.
✅ Volunteer your time.
✅ Share this post.
✅ Tell someone about our mission.
✅ Or simply leave a word of encouragement in the comments.

Every small action creates hope for someone who needs it most.
