Meet your 2026 Ultimate High Adventure Assistant Trek Director: Josh Nelson! 🏕️

A proud Great Alaska Council Scouter, Josh began his journey with Troop 210 and earned the rank of Eagle Scout in 2021. His dedication to leadership and service continued as he was honored with the Order of the Arrow Vigil Honor in 2023.

Today, Josh is helping shape the next generation of high-adventure Scouts as the Assistant Trek Director for the 2026 Ultimate High Adventure (UHA) program. His passion for Scouting, leadership, and the outdoors makes him an invaluable member of the UHA team.

Meet the 2026 Ultimate High Adventure Assistant Trek Director: Maddie Stanbary! 🏕️

Maddie recently completed her second year at the University of Northern Colorado, where she is pursuing a degree in Outdoor Recreation. Originally from Illinois, Maddie has a deep love for the outdoors and enjoys fishing, camping, and skiing all winter long. After working at Camp Alexander last summer, she is excited to bring her experience to Alaska and take on new challenges while exploring everything the Last Frontier has to offer. A fun fact about Maddie is that she loves musicals, and her favorite is Shucked. She is looking forward to a summer full of adventure, growth, and unforgettable memories with the Great Alaska Council!
