We are so pleased to share that our Magic & Myth Fantasy Ball for Young Adults will feature treats from Eva's Cupcakery. After seeing this beautiful Honeybee-themed spread at a recent event, we knew we'd found the perfect partner to create a banquet table fit for a faerie court.

What: Magic & Myth Fantasy Ball for Young Adults
Location: The Nave
When: Friday, October 16 from 6-8:30pm

Tickets are still available!

Today is National Day of Remembrance of Indigenous Boarding Schools, more commonly known as Orange Shirt Day.

Molly of Denali has a very special episode about the impact of residential schools on Indigenous Peoples that highlights how learning and playing is also healing. 🧡

We firmly believe that every child matters. Every family. Every language. Every song. Every tradition that carries the knowledge gained from the land and passed down from generation to generation with care and love for future generations. Every child, everywhere, matters. Today and everyday.

We had several young people who were under 21 reach out and ask to attend last weekend's Masquerade fundraiser.

In response, we're putting on a Fantasy Ball just for them on October 16!

Young people across Anchorage are cordially invited to a Fantasy Ball just for ages 15-20. Dress in your finest fantasy garb and enjoy an evening of music, dancing, door prizes and fun activities while helping to raise funds for Alaska Children's Museum.

Costumes are welcome and highly encouraged! Prop weapons must be non-functional and peace-tied. Functional projectiles are not allowed. Bags and props are subject to inspection as a condition of entry and zip ties may be provided by organizers to more adequately peace tie props. Props that cannot be peace-tied may be turned away at the door or held in a secure area until after the event.

This is a youth event for teens and young adults only. Attendees must be between ages 15-20.
