The Nave is a hub for Community, Culture and Art in the Spenard neighborhood of Anchorage, Alaska. The Nave is available to rent for private and public events.

Visit our website for upcoming events, event space rental info, community programs, and more! We offer tours every Wednesday from Noon - 1:00 PM. Contact us for private tours or for more information about booking our spaces!

The Nave office is closed October 12 in celebration of Indigenous People's Day.
We are deeply grateful to the many Indigenous artists, collaborators, leaders, and elders who have shared knowledge, ideas, culture, and creativity at The Nave. May we always continue to honor, listen to, & celebrate our Alaska Native & Indigenous elders, youth, artists, advocates, & leaders in our communities.

The magic of Art Fair is hard to describe unless you visit in person, take time to engage, and pause to let the moment reach you.
Every year is something new. Art Fair 2026, the sixth iteration curated by The Nave Studio Artists, is already one for the books.
Day 2 begins at 11:00 am today, Sunday, October 11. We have some new rotations of talented artists setting up, so if you joined us yesterday, swing by for some new art today!

An exciting blend of Alaska's well-known and emerging creative voices will be exhibiting original works, experiments, installations, and fine art this weekend at The Nave. Light refreshments will be available, and an Art Supply Free Store will be open to all.

We’re officially less than two weeks away from the 2026 Unangax̂ Communities Conference!

UCC brings together leaders, community members, regional organizations, and partners from across the Aleutian and Pribilof Islands to share what is happening in our communities, talk through common challenges, and identify opportunities to work together.

After The Writer’s Block closed its doors permanently in 2025, many of us wondered what would come next. For the building’s new owner Emily Klopfer (pictured with Betti, her Alaskan Klee Kai), opening a bookstore in Spenard is a lifelong dream come true and an opportunity to give back to the community that shaped her. Ptarmageddon is almost upon us. On Saturday, August 8 we'll be roosting in The Nave (aka the Church of Love) on Spenard to bring you a marathon of divine comedy. Browse the schedule below and feel yourself getting one step closer to paradise.
