❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️With temperatures below freezing expected next week, Community Warming Stations in Americus will be opened from Monday, 01/26 through Saturday, 01/31.

These shelters will be open for those living without housing or without heat in their homes or apartments.

The hours will be 5:00pm until 10:00am the following morning.

A light dinner and breakfast meal will be provided each day.

Dear Residents,

With winter weather upon us, we want to ensure that everyone is prepared and that your homes remain safe and comfortable during freezing temperatures. To help prevent frozen pipes and potential water damage, please follow these important steps:

Set your thermostat to no lower than 68 degrees at all times.

Open all cabinets under sinks to allow warm air to circulate around pipes.

Drip faucets if necessary to keep water moving.

Good morning Community and Community Partners!
We are pleased to announce the launch of our Capital Campaign, which will run from now through February 1, 2026. Funds raised through this campaign will directly support the expansion of our housing and community programs and, strengthen our impact throughout rural Southwest Georgia.
As you all know, grant season for nonprofits has swindled down drastically! We would like to request financial support for the Ethyn Johnson Foundation, a community-based organization dedicated to reducing barriers and providing community navigation services across rural Southwest Georgia, with a particular focus on Sumter County.
Since its founding in 2019, the Foundation has worked diligently to address critical challenges faced by individuals and families, and connect them with the resources they need to thrive.

Our Housing Program supports individuals and families in securing safe, stable housing,while removing the barrier of being homeless; while our Community Navigator Program helps residents access essential services, employment, and economic opportunities.
