George Mims accepted his winnings from our 50/50 raffle then graciously donated them right back to SCFR to be included in the donation to Sumter County Friends Against Cancer! Thank you, George and Debra Mims for your generosity!

Friends Against Cancer of Sumter County, Inc. was able to assist Phoebe Sumter Oncology and Hematology with restocking their food and household item Pantry this weekend. We were able to purchase some different food items as well as some personal care items like deodorant and soap for patients that are going through a financial hardship during their diagnosis and treatment. We would also like to thank Mrs. Mary Suggs for personally donating additional money to help us purchase more supplies for the pantry.

If you would like to help us show support to our local oncology and hematology patients here in Sumter county, you can make a Tax dedutible donation to Friends Against Cancer, and you can mail in checks payable to Friends Against Cancer, P.O. Box 6421, Americus, GA 31709.

Fellowship Baptist Church of Americus made a wonderful Donation of $1,100 to Friends Against Cancer today after their Fundraising event in our honor! We are so grateful for their continued support of our organization. Friends Against Cancer of Sumter County was able to assist Phoebe Sumter Oncology this week with restocking items in their Patient Pantry. Some patients are not able to work during their treatments and are not able to afford some basic necessities, so the clinic has a small Pantry of items available for them if they see a need. Friends Against Cancer purchased some non perishable food items as well as some hygiene items to restock the Pantry this weekend and sent them to the clinic this morning. We are honored to be able to help, even if it is just in a small way here and there. ❤️💞🥰

We would like to give one final shout out to our local friends and businesses that made contributions to our great cause before the event and during the event. We were able to net a profit of $1,900 from the event AND had a great time doing it as well!! Thank you again to Jay & Amanda Anderson, Don Porter, The Russ Childers Agency, Laura and Jeremy Joyner, Citizens Bank of Americus, Beckie Dodson, Jon & Mary Suggs, Terry & Annie Westbury and all the rest of the wonderful people that gave cash donations the night of our event!
