Send Hope

Send Hope Send Hope supports and assists over 1,500 children in the remote area of Puerto Lempira, Honduras. The House of Hope was opened in the spring of 2005.

It houses partially disabled children while they continue their education at the School of Hope. It also houses malnourished babies and their families. There are 16 bedrooms, 8 bathrooms, a kitchen and large eating area. While the number of residents varies, as malnourished babies are able to return to their homes, approximately 35 - 45 people live in the House of Hope. The School of Hope, located

adjacent to the House of Hope, has approximately 130 students enrolled. Send Hope partners with educators throughout the region to provide school supplies for classrooms and families that cannot afford them. Another way we strive to keep children in school is to provide Kids Against Hunger meals that the schools provide at lunchtime. Our feeding program currently has over 1,200 malnourished children enrolled. Throughout the year we host medical and dental teams that work in our community and travel to very remote villages.

Answer the Call to Serve in Honduras!
Send Hope is seeking a passionate, Christ-centered couple to lead the House of Hope in Puerto Lempira, Honduras. As Executive Directors, you'll be the heartbeat of a vibrant ministry serving up to 30 children and managing a dedicated team of 20 staff. This is more than a job—it's a calling to bring healing, hope, and opportunity to La Mosquitia.
What You'll Do:
• Lead daily operations and care for children’s physical, emotional, and spiritual needs
• Partner with local and U.S. teams to advance the mission
• Host volunteer and medical teams
• Engage in community outreach and crisis response
• Fundraise and advocate for the ministry
Ideal Candidates:
• A married couple with a deep faith and servant-hearted mindset
• Cross-culturally adaptable and ready for a 5+ year commitment
• Skilled in leadership, budgeting, and facility management
• Willing to learn Spanish or Miskito
• Ready to raise support and live missionally
Housing, transportation, and visa support provided. Up to 2 months off annually for rest and renewal.

At the end of July we had great friends from Central College Presbyterian Church in Ohio visit us! Their visits are always a joyful time of VBS lessons, crafts, worship, haircuts, and so much playing and fellowship with the House of Hope kids. Each year this team arrives ready to share their love and gifts with us at the House of Hope and our community. We are grateful that they consistently show up (and spoil us)! Can't wait until next year!
