We are the Carmelite Sisters of the Most Sacred Heart of Los Angeles. Our retreat house hosts Women's Silent weekend retreats along with Men's Silent retreats and Specialty Retreats.

We are grateful to the students at St. Therese School in Alhambra who raised money for the fire recovery and restoration. What beautiful saints they are becoming! May God reward them for their generosity and kind hearts. We are praying for all the students as they begin their summer vacation.

Next month, we celebrate the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Entrust your intentions to His Sacred Heart by enrolling in the Novena. From June 3 to June 11, your intentions will be offered up during Mass daily. Each person enrolled will receive a beautiful card as a sign of this offering. Praised be Jesus Christ and His Virgin Mother! May is the month we honor our Blessed Mother. Join us on Sunday, May 10 for our annual Mothers’ Day May Crowning Mass and rosary procession. A small reception with the sisters will follow. RSVP using the events link in our bio.

Praised be Jesus Christ! At the end of our Healing the Whole Person Retreat this past Saturday, Sacred Heart Retreat House suffered a fire in one of our retreat buildings. No one was hurt and the fire was contained to Our Lady’s Wing. Our retreats will continue and we will reach out to those whose retreats are impacted.

Our building suffered extensive damage. We are grateful for any support. We thank you so much for your prayers and friendship. While we are saddened that this happened, we remain hopeful in our Lord’s providence. For more information, please see our link in our bio: bit.ly/shrhfire
