was chartered on March 18, 1967. Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. is a private, non-profit organization whose purpose is to pro-vide assistance and support through established programs in local communities throughout the world. Founded on January 13, 1913 by twenty-two collegiate women at Howard University, the Sorority is currently a sisterhood of more than 200,000 predominately Black college educated women. This includes over 900 chapters located in the United States, England, Japan (Tokyo and Okinawa), Germany, the Virgin Islands, Bermuda, the Bahamas, and the Republic of Korea. The major programs of the sorority are based upon the organization’s Five Point Programmatic Thrust: Economic Development, Physical and Mental Health, Educational Development, Political Awareness and Involvement, and International Awareness and Involvement. 🎓 College is within reach—and we’re here to help you prepare!

The Albuquerque Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, Economic Development Committee invites students and parents to our College Prep & Financial Aid Workshop.

💻 In-person and Zoom attendance options available

Students from middle school through high school are welcome, with special emphasis on juniors and seniors. We’ll cover FAFSA and financial aid, scholarships, college admissions, SAT and ACT preparation and registration, college application support, and more.

💰 Registered in-person attendees will be eligible to win hundreds of dollars in mini-grants to help cover college application fees and SAT or ACT exam costs. Light refreshments will also be served.

Registration is required. Scan the appropriate QR code on the flyer to register for in-person or Zoom attendance.
