On July 22, 2026, we received a grant from the Canopy Housing Foundation to support low income housing in Stanly County. The Canopy Housing Foundation is the charitable arm of the Canopy RealtorĀ® Association. In total, the Canopy Housing Foundation distributed over $85,000 to local nonprofits in the Charlotte area. We would like to thank the Canopy Housing Foundation for their support of Stanly County Habitat for Humanity.

On June 25, 2026 we held a groundbreaking ceremony in Badin. We had a great turnout for the event. Badin town officials, a representative of Alcoa, and Habitat board members and staff all came out to support the future homeowner and her family. We look forward to getting started very soon. On May 7, 2026, the Xiong-Yang family closed on their Habitat for Humanity mortgage. They have worked hard to get to this point. This home came about very quickly. The family responded by completing their sweat equity hours before the closing. We wish the Xiong-Yang family many blessings in their Habitat home.
