The Talent Company was created in 2005, backstage at the Uwharrie Players production of “South Pacific.” Since then, we have been producing high quality entertainment for Stanly County. The cast of Junie B. Jones Jr. The Musical has been working hard to prepare this delightful show for the stage in October. Their bookbags and show-and-tell treasures are already hanging in the rehearsal space as we begin creating the colorful, silly, lovable world of everyone’s favorite first grader!

Based on the beloved Junie B. Jones book series by Barbara Park, this musical adventure is full of friendship, big feelings, lots of laughs, and plenty of Junie B. personality. 💗

You will NOT want to miss this adorable adventure!

This dramatic adaptation offers teenage actors the opportunity to explore rich characters, eerie storytelling, exciting improv, and thrilling theatrical moments—all leading to a unique outdoor production.

WHAT TO PREPARE
Those auditioning should prepare a 45-second to 1-minute monologue in a similar dramatic, mysterious, or suspenseful genre.
During auditions, participants will also:
🕯️ Read selections from the script.
🕯️ Participate in improv activities related to the story.
🕯️ Share any scheduling conflicts between August 31 and October 25.
The rehearsal schedule will be created around the availability of the cast.
Please arrive a few minutes early to complete an audition form. The form will also be emailed before the audition date for anyone who prefers to print and complete it in advance. Questions may be sent to [email protected].

We are so excited to officially announce the cast of Junie B. Jones Jr.! This talented group of young performers is ready to grab their backpacks, sharpen their pencils, and head straight into rehearsals. We cannot wait to get started!

Based on the beloved book series, Junie B. Jones Jr. follows Junie B. as she begins first grade and discovers that growing up comes with plenty of surprises. With new friends, new challenges, a kickball tournament, a missing lunchbox, and lots of laugh-out-loud moments, Junie B. learns that even when life feels “very not fair,” things have a way of working out!

Congratulations to our cast! It is going to be the most exciting, hilarious, first-grade adventure ever!
